But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

I'm checking out 10/11/68 right now from Winterland(the early show). Are You Experienced? is the tune playing right now. Nice flute/guitar interaction. :-D

great run along side the  :syf: who were playing a similar run at the Avalon Ballroom.  Hendrix and the  :syf: were supposed to meet up for a jam on a rented boat but Hendrix failed to show up.  Apparently undeterred he reappeared at the  :syf:'s show the next night hoping to sit in.  At the set break they all agreed Hendrix would come out and jam at the appropriate cue.  The  :syf: played their set w/ out inviting him onstage as a payback to him standing them up the previous night.

^^
They should've brought him out for the jam even though Hendrix didn't show imo. Good story.

we can only imagine...
think of feedback with Jimi
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Smooth "Tax Free" from the 10/11/68 late show at Winterland. Tax free indeed.

Today was the last of an exquisite Hendrix photo exhibition in Rotterdam. Amazing stuff and I finally got to see some pix taken at his legendary Dutch live show.

Making my way back to station I picked up Live at Berkeley (may 30, 1970 second show) for 1O EUR at one of my favorite record shops. ""Thought you would like that, so I set it aside for you", the owner smiled.

As a roadie for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, I learned that I should give up being a guitar player. - Lemmy

I'm anticipating the release of set 1 Berkeley big time.  Both sets are prime Hendrix.  10 euros, I'll check the exchange rate and get back to you.

Downloaded the Hendrix "In the Studio" 10-cd set from oink when they had the free-for-all last week- I must say I am very impressed.  I  thought I would have heard most of it....it's pretty sweet.  I guess it's limited, so you'll have to d/l it, I don't think you can find it in a store anymore....I didn't know about it, but it's worth the d/l fo sho...very good....

nice, I picked up the recent Dagger release but missed the TTG 4 disc set  :frustrated:  :-D
