How was Graham Lesh?  They are coming here and I got tix, but the lineup is leaving me a little underwhelmed.

The reviews of their Lockn sets this year were pretty bad.

I really enjoyed the Lockn sets so...
I thought last night was better.

It's still possible for you to listen and form your own opinion.

I did and I agreed with them.

The Terrapin Suite at Lockn was a lifeless embarrassment IMO.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

anthrax

widespread panic in milwaukee at the riverside theater last weekend.

this is their "hampton."  small venue that sells out instantly away from their home base that brings out a lot of travelers.  i was super impressed with milwaukee.  first of all, the weather was perfect.  then the city allowed vending up and down the sidewalks in front of businesses and bars next to the venue (and this is pretty central in the city of milwaukee.)  some of the bars were even selling beer in "to go" cups.  due to my wife's drunkeness, i am now the proud owner of a bob weir light switch cover, but i digress.  about 2 hours before showtime, they blocked off the street directly in front of the theater and made a little beer garden.  again, this is a pretty major street in the city.  there were beer sales and a food truck and then you just walked right into the venue.  well done in the city of happy days, laverne & shirley, and that 70's show

Nice, good to hear.  Milwaukee is my second home.  Great town.

Gonna need pics of the Bobby lightwitch cover.

anthrax

we don't have a whole lot of single light switches in the house, so there are limited options to put it.  we tried it in the bathroom first, but it was kinda creepy.  he currently resides in our main floor hallway.  and i'm officially asking for a trey double light switch for christmas for my office!

PIE-GUY

I love it when cities embrace the crowd and realize the revenues they can earn when they do so. So many are frightened and lock shit down... which just ruins it for both crowd and locals. Everyone is happier and everyone makes money when they just embrace it.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

You're entitled to your opinion but I'm going to laugh at it.

OK - don't judge
Saw George Winston last night (by request)
I expected to hear some light, easy "classical type" piano
the guy is seriously good.
Yea, there was some of that stuff that makes him popular, but a good chunk of the show was stride, NOLA style (songs by Professor Longhair, James  Booker), Charles Gueraldi. Final song was a pretty cool, pretty long cover of Riders on the Storm
He also plays guitar, has a vintage Martin with a custom low 7th string and cajun harmonica tunes.
he also has very long fingers and hands.
