TTB at Boston Garden last night. Warren came out for Dreams, Into the Mystic, and Blue Sky.
He came out again for Walk on Gilded Splinters (3rd song of encore).
They ignored the 11 PM curfew.

Amazing show. If you are in the NYC area and are on the fence about going this Friday, do it!!
guests will be Nora Jones and Trey.

Queens of the Stone Age last night.
Went on a whim at the last minute, solid rock show.
Then ran into the band after the show at a local pub and chatted for a bit.
Speaks to the timelessness and incredible beauty of the Grateful Dead's music

Dead and Co sucks but if it brings in beautiful women who might let me toss in the Boise 83 Franklins or the Hampton 81 Let it grow, I'm all for it.

Nissan Pav is no longer called that but it still sucks.

Neil, however kicks ass.
Sadly we got a slightly shorter show as compared to others on this leg but I'm not actually complaining. I blame the venue.

Caught their jazzfest set which was definitely shorter than the usual show on this tour. Still, it fucking rocked. Particle Kid (Micah Nelson) fits right in with the old guys.

Neil and CH have been just slaying on this tour. I've watched at least a dozen videos and none disappoint.
I wish I had the chance to catch one as this could easily be the last.

I've watched several shows myself and can't agree more.
Micah is perfect. The other guys are not missing any steps that matter. The Horse brings the perfect balance between slop and intensity.

i don't know how you guys feel about them, but i just saw my 2nd Spafford show this past Saturday.  Holy crap, those guys can fucking JAM.  I never really want to listen to them outside of a show, but man.... i don't think i've been that satisfied by jamming since my Jauntee days. 

and Mike Gantzer filling in for Brian is AWESOME right now.  Go see Spafford!

Had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Red Wing Roots music festival last weekend.

I've been going for about 7 years now, and it's actually where my wife and I started dating 6 years ago so to be going back now with a baby on the way felt really surreal. Hands down the chillest festival around, in the most amazing location. Kurt Vile and Bonny Light Horseman were the headliners, and festival hosts the Steel Wheels always bring the heat themselves as well as put together a killer lineup (heavy on the bluegrass). Highlights were Margo Cilker, Sam Burchfield & the Scoundrels, Myron Elkins, and Tray Wellington, but pretty much every act I saw was awesome.

Can't fucking wait for next year to have little wee Phil jr along for the ride!

Saw JRAD at Hampton Beach in NH last Friday night with the  :sbw:  crew.  From my memory, it was a super fun show, but I had 3-4 IPAs and some boomer capsules and chocolates for dinner, which made me a bit fuzzy on details.

Note to self: Do not forget to eat actual food.
