Quote from: phil on June 15, 2024, 08:04:04 AMWatched the fallout series on prime with my wife a couple weeks ago, she loved it but had never seen or played any fallout games so last night I dug out the xbox 360 and fired up fallout 3. Forgot how engrossing bethesda RPGs can be, I have a feeling I'm gonna lose like 50 hours to this playthough before I get bored with it lol
i found it sorta funny that fallout 76 gained a massive resurgence after that show came out considering how hated it was originally.
i have a bunch of friends playing it atm.
The show inspired me to get fallout 4 and a bunch of mods...you are right about the immersion of (older) Bethesda games.

Then I got sidetracked with elden ring...such a badass game.  Never played it and I'm not watching any YT vids/wiki/guides.  Just getting destroyed on the reg.  I think it is the adult version of Breath of the Wild!

elden ring is honestly my favorite single player rpg of all time i think now.
the beauty of it is that unlike other souls games you don't get stuck on one boss, you can just go wherever and level more, find other stuff, come back later.
was just talkin to some other friends today how it actually very easy if you choose to use some of the tools like summons available to you.
-Really want to get the DLC since i 100%d the base game but it comes out only a week before the massive ff14 expansion i only get once every 2.5 years now so... i'll prob grab it once launch window for 14 dies down.

I picked up Baldur's Gate 3 on steam, game is fun but I recently played Divinity Original Sin II and it's basically the exact same game, albeit different story/better graphics.

The game has a lot of interesting mechanics, however, and if you're into this sort of thing I can  definitely see how much replay value there is.

I loved it.  I played first run without any guides or whatnot.  Then I heard about bear sex and had to try that shit too!  Lots of tits and horniness, but the gameplay is really solid if you are into the turn based rpg.
