I never had an "8th grade graduation".  We just had the last day of school like any other year, and then reported to a different school in the fall.  No cap, no gown... not even a pleasant "go fuck yourself".

If you were anything like me, you got plenty enough pleasant ones to go around.

Ha!  True, true.  But, I think they were so happy to see me go that they kept their cool and probably had a faculty party afterwords.

We went to a catholic grammar school.  Ceremonies for everything.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

^^^My wife went to public school in a seriously Catholic town, and they had semi-formal proms every year starting in sixth grade.

Paugers separated in junior high is monstrously epic.
Quote from: Eleanor MarsailI love you, daddy. Actually, I love all the people. Even the ones who I don't know their name.

QuoteElastiGirl: I can't believe you don't want to go to your own son's graduation.
Mr. Incredible: It's not a graduation. He is moving from the 4th grade to the 5th grade.
ElastiGirl: It's a ceremony!
Mr. Incredible: It's psychotic! They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity, but if someone is genuinely exceptional...

Is that kinda like twins being separated?

but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
