There are 10 types of people in this world.  Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

wait, my "old" Macbook can't do dual-display?

if yours is the original Macbook (not the "Late 2006" model), here are its video stats:

http://support.apple.com/specs/macbook/macbook.html
QuoteGraphics and Video Support
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory1
Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 x 1200 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors
Built-in iSight camera with 640-by-480-pixel resolution
Mini-DVI port
DVI output using mini-DVI to DVI adapter (sold separately)
VGA output using mini-DVI to VGA adapter (sold separately)
Composite and S-video output using mini-DVI to video adapter (sold separately)

if it is the "Late 2006" model:

http://support.apple.com/specs/macbook/macbook_late_2006.html
QuoteGraphics and video support
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory(3)
Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 1920 by 1200 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors
Built-in iSight camera
Mini-DVI port
DVI output using mini-DVI to DVI adapter (sold separately)
VGA output using mini-DVI to VGA adapter (sold separately)
Composite and S-video output using mini-DVI to video adapter (sold separately)

and the new ones have their specs listed as follows:

http://www.apple.com/macbook/specs.html
QuoteGraphics and video support
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory3
Composite and S-video output using mini-DVI to video adapter (sold separately)

i do not see "Dual-Display" listed in any of those specs, but they all appear to support pretty much the same external monitor capabilities.

I'm going to the Apple Store today to get the Mini-DV > DVI adapter, guess I'll have to see.  I want/need Dualz.

Also, anyone want to buy a Desktop PC? :) :P

QuoteExtended desktop and video mirroring:
I'm not up on my macspeak but, in the pc world, this means dual monitor. Either with the second display as a mirror of your primary (for presentations) or as a secondary workspace...

mattstick

I want to have it as a secondary workspace, would be great for working in ProToolz.

rowjimmy

Should be possible from what i read up there ^^^

Mission Accomplished

I also hooked it up my MacBook to my Dad's 40" Sony Bravia.  Quite impressive.

Slick monitors (and I don't mean the screens)
