Received my BN Sam Rivers - Contours today.  Looks killer as expected.     

Just opened mine. Very progressive playing, the Hubbard/Hancock/Rivers interplay is inspired.
Classy reissue too.

The more I dig through this RSD list, the more I am finding.  I have to say that this is possibly one of the best years they have had.  Still compiling my want list but I'll post it here when I figure it out.  My kid has a skating competition that day so there is a chance I might not even be able to make it :-(.  And there is a good record fair that night so April 13th is looking like it's going to be an expensive day for me.

Ron Carter's playing too is sublime.  The track Euterpe is very experimental, love hearing Rivers on flute.   
Joe Chambers kills it the whole album, I love his ride work on the first track.

I have wanted to ask my rents or someone for a VMP subscription as a gift.
I know they offer "alternates" to the monthly pick if you dont want the feature but not sure about skipping a month.

Not sure about the anthology thing, but you can turn the regular subscriptions on and off as often as you like.

I have canceled and re-upped a few times already.

I'm not sure if you can skip months, but I know you can swap out the record of the month for a different record if you want to.
