I'm quite excited to experience Jones Beach + Phish.
I'm totally bummed I won't be in attendance for these. I got word recently that I have to go to a wedding this same weekend. I'm contemplating ending my friendship with these two. :wink: I guess making it to Starlake will be a nice consolation prize.
EDIT TO ADD: I seriously considered finding a flight that would get in early enough that sunday so I could make the drive up to Camden. But that would be WAY too much.
will def be there for 6/5 working on a trade with a fellow pauger for a 6/4 ticket, think we'll be good to go

i would say if your deciding where to fly in, unless you can get a solid deal at Macarthur, La Guardia or JFK are your best best, usually not too expensive. in my experience having lived in CT all my life, avoid Newark at all costs..... but seriously, that airport sucks ass

I do have a seck GW pavilion, but I gotta keep it for myself. I'll keep an eye out for a Camden for sure, though, and let you know if I find one. All I got for myself for Camden was a lawn.
thankfully I took care of lodging for these JB shows too. My buddy lives in NYC and I can stay with him for free. It's about 30 miles away, so I'll have to keep it cool as far as being intoxicated at these shows. Gotta be sharp and relatively sober for the after-show drive.
and the shows aren't being moved to Nassau. That was a bunk rumor.

Stay with the band and front some cash for the Garden City Hotel.

i always liked the Best western in uniondale for the nassau shows, but for jones beach shows i'd suggest something on merrick t-pike/ sunrise HWY. that way its real easy to find your way home, or if you dont feel like driving you can catch the train to freeport and then the DRUNK-shuttle straight to Jones beach and back. they shuttle back to teh freeport train station until everyone is gone. we alwats had fun with that one.
one such HOtee on that route is the holidaze inn in rockville centre. 15-20 minute drive, or 30 min public transpo.

I wasnt confident in the 6/2 for 6/4 or 6/5 trade, just based on the time between the releases. It may be easier if youre looking for a single.
I got 2 6/4's for $255 total. Im not thrilled with buying on eBay, but Im happy w/ that price based on what Ive seen in the month that Ive been watching them. Of all my saved watches, I only have one or two that ended in this range, most were way higher.
I think there is an overall price dropping trend going on. Just dont wait too long when last minute fever hits.

best of all, with my extra 6.2 I can now take my childhood buddy who I'm staying with in NYC for the week to his first phish show ever. He is literally a musical genius and an incredibly good guitar player, and expressed some interest in seeing Trey play live. Booyah.

eh, I dont mind. As long as it has a bed and a shower and its not filthy filthy then Im good. Its a days inn and it was only $95 a night. I booked this afternoon
If you're ok with it, than I suppose it's no big deal but there is probably a pretty good reason it is only $95 a night
I saw some reviews of the place online too. Aside from one guy whos beef was just with the management the others were good
I mean... really all Im going to be doing there is showering and sleeping. Its far enough away from the venue that I will most likely spend 99% of the time at Jones Beach

Man it pisses me off to hear about all of these extras floating around when a month or more ago (when I was making my Summer plans) there was nothing to be found. JB and GW were the shows I wanted most. Ah well, no sense letting it piss me off, I'll be happy come August.
Lesson learned, you can always get into Phish shows.

Tickets were much harder to come by tonight than Tuesday, but they were still around. 2 of my friends got in for face.
I assume tomorrow will be a bit more of a challenge

Yep, its still pouring here. The lot is empty. Some ambitious people trying to set up tarps and ez-ups but the winds are pretty stiff. Seems like people are getting soaked trying to put up a shelter that will barely keep them dry anyway. But we're down here, anyone want to shoot me an email or pm, go for it.
