As you know that 4.0 version of the band is pretty good on most nights now. As for jams I highly recommend the Baker's Dozen Lawn Boy.
wtf is 4.0  fucking zoomers and their labels

Trey gave us the 4.0 label when he gave that name to his new guitar.

so ... 3.0 is what then? Hampton 09> when he get new guitar?

i mean the 1.0 2.0 3.0 labels were sorta under eras broken up by hiatus... this all dont make sense to me. but i guess i can just go back to being oblivious

Phish played no shows from Feb 2020 to July 2021, so that was a hiatus of sorts, hence 4.0.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Quote from: jedifunk on June 11, 2022, 04:46:43 AMand now a question ... in one of the episodes of the Undermine about BD, they mentioned something about a DWD that was transformative and direct lineage to BD sound/feel. I swear they said Reading 2013, which would most likely be Tahoe (even though Tahoe & reading aren't really that close). Anyone know what DWD they are referencing? Am I crazy (don't answer that)? I'm pretty lazy and haven't gone back to listen to the episode.

I'll have to do some digging too, i know nothing about this.  But the Reading Disease from 10/29/13 is fucking sick.  So, that makes sense I guess.

And cool blog man!  Had no idea.  I'm in and out here myself, Glass Pony keeps me more busy than I can handle haha.

Lots of great jams from this tour already.  I'm really partial to the Chalkdust from last year where Trey gives Fish the "takeoff" hand signal.  7/31/21.

Lots of big Carini's too.

The one thing I think you must check out, however, is the Mike's Song from Deer Creek last year.  8/8/21.  They modulate, and the jam is fantastic.  The Shoreline one from 9/1 is also great.

Phish is back though man, they're playing like they mean it again.

%% with alternated lyrics about a 1995 jeep cherokee that was also sacraficed on this tour.

I think I got it but he's such a spaz he'll probably never open this thread again

jedifunk

ahh, so there is a Reading DWD... ok, will check it out!

Been listening to the latest stuff, and they sound good, but 2021 sounds better to me so far... although I did really like the Sand from 6/5/22

That Sand is good. But it's not even the best jam from that set, much less the show.

mistercharlie

You should really check out the 7/16/22 DWD. Best jam of the summer so far.

do tell ... I haven't listened to the whole show, but on paper, not much else jumps out at me.

I was definitely talking about a different show.

jedifunk

yo yo yo!

guess who's back ... again :D

currently hollering from Bulgaria.

miss y'all and hope you're enjoying these shows... my perspective from afar, is that is a bit hit or miss, night to night, but there are some STUNNING jams.

7/16 Carini is my favorite, followed closely by the 7/29 Fuego.

holler at me!

7/30 first set is one of the better sets so far.  Ac/dc>MFMF, nice but short gin, jammy theme, fast llama, tube, golgi.

MSG has been bringing the goods for the most part.
Oblivion and the well are two great new songs.
I'm not a big fuego fan, but the 30minute beast has some neat parts once you get past the vocals.
