Dude. I'm telling ya, it's probably even more frusterating to us than you!

Same goes with Bloomington. We know there's a scene there and I see bands, some smaller than us,  rolling through both cities.  Yet, tour after tour we reach out and not only do we not get gigs... We literally haven't even gotten a single response... In 4/5 years! Argh!

Added a few shows since the initial announcment - updated original post.

I swear, every tour, we wait and we wait to announce in hope of filling dates - then, of course, the day after we announce, responses start flowing in. Some day we'll beat the system! Some day!

The idea has definitely been talked about.  Probably won't happen for at least another year but I'd say late 2017 or 2018 for sure. Where you living these days?

Nice dude. Probably my favorite city in America. What area you living in? I lived in SE for a semester 5-6 years ago. Loved every second of it.

Portland is top west coast priority to play for me. I find myself frequently day-dreaming about the awesomeness that will be Bellingham > Seattle > Olympia > Portland > Bend > Eugene > Humbolt County > San Franciso tour one day.

Maybe it's just me, but that sounds much more fun than Boston>NYC>Philly>DC>Baltimore>blah blah east coast...

I'm actually living about 15 mi. east of downtown, close to a town called Gresham. It's not a bad commute. I'm planning on moving a little closer to downtown in August though. Yea, That would be a sick run. I'd be able to hit 3 of those for sure maybe 4. One day buddy, one day...

I didn't know you were there.  I would have said hello.  My memory is a little iffy, but I'm pretty sure it was a 5 song set.  I know the opening number was around 20 minutes.

Pretty good show.  I enjoyed myself.  The band sounded great.  They are def gelling.  I bounced after they finished.  I didn't stick around for the other two acts.  I love T-west.

Sounds good.  Leaving here in about 15-20 minutes

Also just pulled last nights recording off the SDHC, sounds good.  I am not sure if I have listened up to the point where I raised my mics.  I started getting worried the folks standing in front of them talking were going to be loud, but I think I beat it.

Been tuning in to most of the streams for a few songs.  Sounding great!

:beers:

I mean the fact that it is just sitting there on my FB stream is awesome.  Not that I am too lazy to click a link and go somewhere else, but I think that presenting it that way makes it so easy for a lot of people.  If I read about a stream in this thread that was going to be happening later that night, the chance of me remembering and or going to it is pretty slim.  If I am just scrolling down my screen and I see it happening, I'm def going to click on it for a few songs.  Love technology!

Glad to hear man.

We've been getting overwhelmingly positive responses from people re: the streams.  It's actually a pretty under utilized tool IMO. We started doing it right when the option became available and figured tons of bands would shortly follow suit, but I haven't really seen that happening.

I guess most bands still play pretty much the same set night after night so it just doesn't make sense to stream them all.  But like you said, it just so conveniently pops up on your FB feed it easy to tune in for a bit. Nearly everytime we do it, there 100+ people watching, some as much as 300-400..... Yet we're only playing to a room of 20-30 actually people at the show. It's kind of hilarious.

Plus, FB just stores all the videos for you... And it's all free. There's really no reason for is not to do it.

not on the ipad - are you using the FB app or just website? I use the website, so that may be why. If I used the FB app maybe it would work.

Last I checked they still only had the ipone app scaled horribly.

Definitely looking forward to tomorrow!  Charlottesville tonight!

Glad to hear! We've been working with this guy for select shows in the southeast this tour.

He's young, really likes us, and eager for work (aka. cheap!) - He's only been doing it for a year or two but has the gear so.... why not!

We're at a trial/error point with the production aspect, we can't afford a full time light guy at this point, nor would it make sense to have someone there for every little bar gig.  But for select shows that we expect turnouts, it's been great. It turns live music into a "Show".

Nah, it's not like that. We'll have them on bandcamp for free or possibly 'pay what you want' -- More than anything, I feel that putting together a "Live Series" sort of thing will attract a certain listener that wouldn't frequent  archive.org otherwise.... Personally, I love archive... but you got to admit, there's something a bit archaic and unappealing to the eye about it's layout, even with the recent update.

I think certain fans will be more inclined to listen to a 'Official  Live Release' on bandcamp's site if its a specific show we've chosen based on the quality of playing and quality of recording.

The surplus of SBD recording in 2013/2014 was kinda a fluke since we had a sound guy touring with us, with our own board -- ahhh those were the days. he quickly realized how that job just wwaaassn't gonna work with what we could afford to pay him... Nowadays, we snag the stereo SBD feeds when we can, but its not always a possibility based on the room/board nor is it top priority sometimes when we are in a rush trying to set up ourselves.  There have been a few matrix's up this year i believe...

Its evident hes a great fit, and starting to take the lead and play out more over other members. Great stuff.

You're welcome :D

I texted Scott on the way to the show that I wanted Jaunts -> Enjoy -> On -> The -> Fire -> Ride or something like that haha.  Also requested Valley Girl at the start of Set 2.

That show was SO fucking good.  Every time they play Black Oak, they slay.  For the 2.59 people who are there ;)   Probably last time they'll stop by there.  It just doesn't work.  The door man let in this huge bridal shower party, and didn't charge them at all!  lol
