Quote from: WhatstheUse? on July 24, 2022, 08:46:43 PMJust finished up our tour last night at NW String Summit and had such a f'n blast! That place is magical and I'm sad it's the last one. I really couldn't have asked for a better end to tour. Def gained a ton of new fans in the PNW - those people know how party! Now just a measly 20 hour ride home!

Awesome!

Good stuff Scott.
Dirty Job kicks serious ass.

Tyler was a very busy guy this weekend!

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

^ Tyler worked his ass off this past weeekend. Including our 3 sets... he ended up playing in 8 sets throughout the festival. He was up at 9am everyday to help load his organ and probably barely slept.

Dude's got a baby on the way this fall so he's been hustlin' the gigs this year.
Bring in the dude!

Basically opening for the Meters. Goodonya!!

Pretty psyched for that! Do you know anything about the other guys in the band?

It's his usual band. Michael Lemler had played keys for George for decades. Terrence Houston has been playing drums for him for about a decade... ever since he parted ways with Russell batiste. Terrence is also the drummer for Toubab Krewe, if you know them. The guitar player these days is new, but solid. He gets featured billing on most gigs these days for some reason. When they played here it was "GPJR featuring Joe Mercinek"

Good looking day of music.
Learned a few years back that I still really dig Railroad Earth.

Dirty Job studio track sounds awesome.  Really glad you guys have more of that coming.  Really lets the songwriting shine through.

I was so bummed I couldn't make it to the Jauntee when they came to Portland. Wife went off with oldest on an unplanned camping trip and I was stuck with the younger one.  Prob should have just smuggled her into the show.

Or just left her home alone since you know you would've only lasted about 45 minutes anyway.  :samurai:  :samurai:

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

The Jauntee played one of our biggest shows ever last weekend at the Boulder Theatre opening for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and boy was it a fun time. Give it a listen!
