Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

QuoteThe driver of the red pickup truck seen in a widely circulated video flipping over on Highway 290 during a tornado in Elgin will soon be driving a brand new red Chevy truck.

Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet in Fort Worth announced Thursday that they are giving 16-year-old Riley Leon a 2022 red Chevrolet Silverado to replace the one that was damaged in the tornado.

Leon told NBC 5 on Wednesday that he was on his way home from Whataburger where he had gone for a job interview when he was caught in the middle of the tornado.

The driver of a red pickup truck seen in a widely-circulated video flipping over on Highway 290 during a tornado in Elgin says the twister hit "out of nowhere" and adds he's "blessed to live another day."

"I honestly didn't know what to do, to grab onto the steering wheel or to start praying," the 11th grader said.

The tornado pushed his Silverado on its side, then bounced it back upright, before he appeared to simply drive on.

"On the video, it looks like I drove off but in reality I didn't," he said. "I landed in the center of the road and I was just driving to get off the road."

The sales manager at Bruce Lowrie said they felt bad for the teen who had to go through such a shocking experience, leading them to gift Leon the new truck.

Leon will be in Fort Worth on Saturday to pick up his new ride. It's perfect timing since he starts his new job at Whataburger on Monday.

Woke up to an inch of snow, which is completely crazy!

Apparently Portland weather records only go back to 1940, but there's never been any recording of snow in April here.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

N00bs...
Does seem very late in the game to begin keeping records.

It looks like Hurricane Fiona is tracking right at us. I was excited at first with the prospect of some surf but it sounds like it's going to be an absolute mess of wind and rain.
Batten down the hatches people!!!

Sustained heat, humidity, and rainless weather in my corner of VT this past summer--not all-time peak figures, but notably sustained highs. Drought probably only officially ended last week or so. It was SO GODDAMN HOT AND SWEATY ALL GODDAMN SUMMER. Understand, none of the old homes here have air conditioning.

The weather is finally, truly, turning the corner and I'm absolutely here for it. Give me storm-rattled windows and a blazing woodstove, please.

Yeah 37 degree difference here in some spots, from Tuesday to Wednesday night, pretty wild. About to go down to buena vista for billy strings festival and it's gonna get down to 45 :)

Checking in for any word from Budd.
The same jet stream dip that has given us beautiful autumn weather fueled that storm on its way into Canadia.
Looks bad up there.
