I don't condone sneaking in to any concert, but there in the woods if you follow the trail that leads around the venue there are some spots were people have been know to jump the fence.

You're probably right....I'll only be kicking myself for the shows I miss, not thanking myself, that's for sure.
It just gets a bit expense trying to criss-cross the entire country multiple times throughout one summer!
True that, but if you can't make it, you can't make it. It won't make it any less painfull, but at least you'll be able to listen to the shows after they happen and this time and for at least a while there will be another tour and more to look forward to.

Well, I wouldn't mind seeign the band but I usually don't focus on that. As long as I can see the lights and the sound is good, I'm usually pretty happy. I'm more looking to :banana: and I would assume there's a lot more room on the lawn. Either way, I will do my best to trade for Pavs or something once I get there.
You wont see any lights from the lawn.
But they do have nice big speakers set up out there, so if you get near one of them, it does sound pretty good on the lawn. But you wont be able to see shit.

Ha. Every DMB show I've been to at SPAC 2006-2009 the Beer Garden only rule has been in effect. I think that's just how it is now for big acts.

The wife and I aren't going to be rolling in between 5-6. Don't know when everyone else is getting there, but I would think that by that point I'll be parking way in the back and not at the front lot right across the street from the main entrance. Once inside the venue, my friends and I use to meet up right be the leftmost ramp to get to the upper pavs.
After weathering this recession through missing Hampton, Jones Beach and eating an entire Bonnaroo ticket I am finally on deck with two lawn seats to SPAC. I've been listening to the Red Rocks shows and I cannot wait for those freakin lights to go down tomorrow.
I'll be flying a blue shark kite in the lot.

you guys better watch the traffic... shit is gonna be NUTS on the Northway (I-87). Theres an alternate route you can take by taking Route 9 which runs basically parallel to the Northway, and you can pick it up at various spots, and it runs right up to the road that the SPAC park entrance is on, at exit 13n on the northway.
seriously... in 2004, shit was backed up to a standstill down to like exit 9 or 10 or some crazy shit. I was truly and utterly dumbfounded. I had no idea Phish had THAT much of an effect on people. haha.
but my girlfriend and I are gonna be lookin to get on the Northway around 1.... so, I have no idea when we'll be getting in. its really a crapshoot, depending on the traffic. cuz its only a 1-lane entrance, and theres a traffic light there (for the entrance right off of Exit 13N on I-87).
So I really have no suggestions other than get there early. Theres really no easy way in, to beat the traffic.
