30 YEARS!!!

I can't believe it's been 30 years since my first show!! Murat Theatre 08/13/93!!!!

I first heard Phish on the lot of a Dead show in '91 or '92. Someone had given the youthful me a copy of Lawn Boy on an old TDK60. The spirit of the music and the childish lyrics made it sit just right with me. I got my mom onboard with it and as soon as she saw that Phish was going to be playing in town she got us tickets for my birthday. I remember grabbing pizza for dinner at a little spot on Mass Ave before heading over to The Murat. I had been there before, but this was my first show there. If you've been to The Murat, you know it's full name was The Murat Theatre at Shriner's Auditorium. The time prior to Phish I had been there was to see the Shriner's Circus. This was a far cry from that! The people were nothing new, being a Deadhead baby, I was all too familiar with them. But when Phish came out and played... That was a life changing moment. No other concert had that kind of palpable energy. Not even the Dead. I was instantly hooked. Though, it being my first show and only being 13, I missed out of fully understanding what I witnessed that night. Years later I would hear talk of the famous Murat Gin and got a tape of it. And lo and behold it was my first show!! A night to be remembered forever, and a pivotal night in the evolution of the band.

So glad I have this 'reprint' Pollock poster that was releases with the LP release of the show hanging in the living room. It's the only piece of Phish-ness that the wife allows out there.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

I think the key takeaway here is that your mom is friggin' awesome.

Love that story, MC. What a lucky kid you were.
Is this still Wombat?

25 years ago, I had my face melted at Lemonwheel. First time dosing and may have overdid it with 2 purple gels but I made it out alive  :wtu: .

You do know you don't need to miss 'em anymore right?  :hereyougoyousentimentalbastar

GBL will testify, we've seen yellow, purple, red, and blue in the last 8 months. Most recent color is green if I am not mistaken.

WhatstheUse?

Can confirm. I ate blue gel tabs at MSG that were acquired in Colorado as well as other tabs given to me a different night. They worked.

I will say, in the past, gel tabs have been quite hit or miss in my experienc.... But recently... No complaints.

I know nothing about the process of actually laying lsd, but it seems to make sense that gel tabs perhaps are more likely to get an uneven distribution of L across the bunch? I dunno.
Bring in the dude!

On the uneven dosing, that could have been my mistake as well. Being my first go, I gave it 45 mins - an hr for the first cap. Felt nothing so I tossed back another and it wasn't long before my entire world became a total psychedelic mess for a few hours.

Man gelcaps were the way to go back in 99-03.  We also would get gelcubes every now and then.  Was like 5 gelcaps folded into a cube.  Mind altering.
The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves they find their own order; the continuous thread of revelation.

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul
