* - acoustic, Duane Allman on Slide

Notes: Excellent FM recording. No tape hiss. Some minor FM static during a few quiet parts. There were three analog type subsecond dropouts which I removed in Goldwave (2:23, 3:22, 1:07:39). No digital glitches that I could find. I don't know how this compares to other sources. FWIW there are no CD generations. I received this DAT in trade around 1994.

Featuring:
Bonnie Bramlett
Delaney Bramlett
Duane Allman
Greg Allman
King Curtis
Kenny Gradney - bass
Sam Clayton - Conga
Joe Johansen - guitar
Chuck Morgan - drums
Daryl Leonard - tumpet
Larry Britt? - Trombone
Jerry Jummonville - Saxaphone
Gordon De Witty - piano, organ

dig the stained glass of eric and duane in the background during the interview!

Hrmm... I wonder if anyone has ever made stained glass images of The Beastie Boys...

doubtful

Is that from a VH1 Behind The Music or Classic Albums?  Great interview, love seeing Tom Dowd behind the desk.

The "Deluxe Edition" of Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs was released this month - not sure how much is new material given the considerable releases this album has had, but the second disc is worth a spin or two.

That's from the Tom Dowd documentary, Tom Dowd: The Language Of Music
It's a must see.

And yes, the BBoys stained glass is impressive...

They still don't hold a candle to this:

that Tom Dowd clip is awesome
so is the drum intro on Why Does Love
so is Mean Old World
so is...

btw, my favorite parts of the D&B show are, well the whole show, but couple interesting things are
1)how Delaney plugs the Concert for Bangla Desh (which is already sold out)
and
2)the bass and conga players, who joined another of my favorite bands from the 70s
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
