QuotePhish will play two special shows at the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs, New York on August 25 + 26, 2023. The concerts will benefit Vermont and Upstate New York flood recovery efforts. Communities throughout the region were inundated earlier this month with historic levels of rain and major flooding.

A short, one-day ticket request period is currently underway at https://phishfloodrecoverybenefit.shop.ticketstoday.com and ends this Wednesday, July 26 at 12PM ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Saturday, July 29 at 10AM ET. Travel packages will be available and go on sale on Friday, July 28 at 9AM ET.

A limited number of Foundation Tickets will also be available which include a ticket to the show, a private pre-show performance with Phish's Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell, access to the Foundation Lounge before and throughout the show, and special Foundation poster and merch, in addition to other amenities. More information can be found at https://phishfloodrecoverybenefit.100xhospitality.com/.

100% of net proceeds from all concert and merchandise sales will be directed to The WaterWheel Foundation's 2023 Flood Recovery Fund, which will support the many victims and their families, area businesses and non-profits. The Recovery Fund will support both shorter term needs and long-term recovery and resiliency projects.

Created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band's various charitable activities, The Waterwheel Foundation has been harnessing the kindness of the Phish fan community to create positive change for over 25 years.

the "best available" option is a pretty interesting game to play there.  what a range!

It's brutal - you could pay $500 extra for Foundation tickets which gets you into the Trey/Page set and still be stuck on the lawn for the Phish show. That's a horrible option.

Apparently The Wizaed of Oz opened in American theaters on August 25th, 1939. So that explains that.

Lots of signs point toward a guest or two sitting in. Apparently some slide guitar heard during sound check. Space for an amp and some extra monitor wedges.

My ex and daughter had good pav seats and stubbed me in--danced with them for Ghost-2001-Golden Age. Phenomenal good times.

anyone know if legit tapers recorded the trey & page sets?  there are plenty of crappy youtubes and some audio from phones, but i'd love decent audio.  also, if you find a good video of the entire sets, please link it here.

I just listened to the Trucks' sit in and it is just phenomenal.
I couldn't help but think of what it would be like to have an extra guitarist of his caliber in the band at this point in their career. I know we're lucky to have the same 4 dudes playing great music after 40 years but damn, that sounded good to my ears.

Another amazing collaboration with Derek and Trey
Derek added new Life Beyond a Dream, and then some.

My first listen was while cutting the grass on Sunday and I couldn't distinguish Derek from Trey. Watching them play made it much easier to figure out who was doing what.

I dunno. I can discern them pretty plainly but, in recent years, Trey's tone has definitely moved more towards the meatier tube tones that Derek has. Their touch and phrasing are also quite different to my ears (leaving aside the fact that Derek doesn't use a pick) but they complemented one another really well. Derek came to Phish and fit in beautifully.

This is to be expected, of course, because he is awesome.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I can tell which guitarist is playing almost every note.
My point was simply that he complimented the band and song selection perfectly.

It could've been the grass cutting that distracted me. I played the show again today while working and could hear them separately.

This is what i was basically saying as well.
It was fucking beautiful imo.
They were effortlessly flowing off and in and out of one another.. let alone Mike and the rest of them.
I swear Gordo and Fish were grinning ear to ear the entire time

I'm pretty sure I could pick either of their tones out of a lineup. Trey, Derek, Jerry, Carlos, Knopfler, Willie, Jorma, Neil Young, Leo Nocenteli, probably even Herring. These are tones I could pick out blind, I think.

Studying the Trey-Carlos twin leads from Stowe 1992 was such a trip for my 20-year old self. And here we are, still at it.

I had the second set playing live in the background while my band was tearing down from a gig Saturday nite.  I noticed them start Golden Age and wasn't completely paying attention but then noticed "hey, that's not Trey's vibrato" and went over to my ipad to see who it was. finally got everything back in the house and got to puff and chill just as First Tube was starting, it was perfect

I've watched the sit-in five or six times now, and forced a few non-phans to watch it too.  even they agreed, simply incredible
