don't know if people are getting out enough to make this thread work, but it seems like one to have around for when people do... and technically, EVERYONE, as of this moment, has a last show attended...  :-)

10/20 The Decemberists
i bought the album after hearing so much about it on another thread, liked it a lot, and saw the show.
it was good. not great. the new songs were far stronger than anything else they played. i haven't heard any of their other studio stuff, but the uninteresting songs-- maybe a quarter of the show-- were all ones i didn't recognize. they played one new song they said they left off 'the crane wife' because one band member was so disturbed by the violent lyrics. it was one of the best songs of the night. 'the perfect crime' was the other highlight. they tore that one up.

10/17 Bob Dylan
never seen him live before. really solid show. the band was in the pocket all night. old songs were barely recognizable and ultimately probably didn't work as well as the new ones. 'all along the watchtower' was played, but it just sounded like the hendrix version without the awesome guitar.

10/6 John Scofield playing Ray Charles songs
decent band with an amazing vocalist, and of course scofield, who was on fire. highlight was a duet with sco and the vocalist doing 'georgia on my mind.'

Clapton - 9/30/06 @ MSG.  The real star of the show, however, was Derek Trucks!  Amazing setlist and performances by all (and i found a STELLAR recording of it, probably one of the finest MSG AUD recordings I've ever heard)

Honestly though, this whole post whoring thing is getting to be a little ridiculous.  But does having a higher post count make a cooler pauger?

I don't have that one but have one of the London shows if you are interested. Great stuff, and yes, Trucks is the man
