A little something for the chompers
Pretty much no doubt in my mind as to what I was gonna spin today.

I am off to ACL Fest for the next three days - gonna be tough to keep up.
I leave for Toronto after the weekend for 5 days.
I'm gonna do my listening this weekend and just post the pics on the respective days.

Had a hard time with todays, but The Seeds is a great album I have been playing a lot so.....
ETA: Changing my pick, lol. I have a more current obsession LOL.....Coming right up.....
These are all great problems to have!

It's OK. The single is BADASS. Kinda downhill from there, tho.
Still need some more time with it, tho.
I know, the single got me hyped

An album a day for a calendar year, we do it Survivor Pool style, once you miss a day, you're out. Last man standing wins a record from each participant.

For a year? I travel way too much to accomplish that shit. Maybe if there was a strike system. Or if there was a check in every other Saturday to make sure you hit 14 records for every two week span. But every day would never work for me. Wouldn't last a month.

That would definitely be a trick. Especially as it turns out my portable turntable has shit the bed.
I figured if someone missed a day or got stumped, they wouldn't be able to write the following month's list.
I do most of my listening on the weekend, so that's my chance to listen/relax and snap some pix.
You guys think I'm spinning records at 5AM every day??

I'm already behind - being out in Zilker Park for ACL Fest from 7:30am until 11pm the last three days really put a hamper on my vinyl listening... and I'm doing it all again for weekend two starting this Friday.

I should say that same!
I'm really diggin this themed photo month. Nice to see everyone's records, stories, etc.
I think doing an entire year is pretty intense.
I do think this is a good start to maybe so more creative ways to share our love of vinyl. Reignithe vinyl swap? Themed vinyl swaps? (Bargain bin swap to see what people can pull for cheap? 45's only? Genre specific swaps?)
Also, I know a lot of us are in record stores multiple times a week. Perhaps posting wants just in case people come up on something in the field a Pauger is looking for. I've personally sent multiple Paugers records based on knowing what records they like/looking for and most times have received records as well.
We've got a lot of Paugers actively buying vinyl and wouldn't mind seeing a collaborative effort.
I'm in for whatever people wanna play. I did all my listening over the weekend for this week. I'm just gonna post each day from the road.
i really like igbo's idea for vinyl swappin' too.
So I can't seem to find my pic for today's entry. Guess I'll have to sit this one out. :shakehead:
I'm failing miserably. I haven't had an album's worth of free time in the last week. My dvr is piled up high with shit, too. I need a good nights sleep. I'm fucking exhausted.

Thing with the Beatles is that if you didn't love them as a youngster you may never really love them in your older years.
If I was going to sit down with someone and play them the best Beatles ever I'd give them Golden Slumbers>Carry That Weight>The End from Abbey Road
Go pick up Revolver and play it. That is all.

Cooler, for sure, than the fact that my Sun Araw/M. Geddes Gengras/The Congos post got a like and comment from Gedes.

I am behind a few days between Dean Ween show and geeking out on the Mets, but I'll be able to catch up in the next couple of days. Have my picks lined up, just have not had any time to spin 'em or even just take pix of them.
Gonna see how much catching up I can do this weekend. Wife is out of town which pretty much means I'll be spinning tons of vinyl. Trying to decide if I should go back and do some days I missed or go ahead and save up so I can be consistent for a week or so.

I have the opposite problem. I rarely grab 7" records unless there's an lp I can't find or afford and I want a specific song on vinyl.
Having Instagram troubles today. It keeps saying there is no internet connection when every other app seems to work just fine.

Radiohead...
Kid A
Amnesiac
that or he checked my discogs :police:

That's what I was gonna guess.
Love both of those.
went with Amnesiac btw. crazy record bc it's kinda an afterthought in the RH canon but it has grown on me so much over the years yet I still can't slot it above any other proper album. every track has something to offer though, love it from start to finish. such a sick band

Knives Out and Dollars and Cents are two of my favorites off Amnesiac.
I've always put it above Hail to the Thief and King of Limbs but that's just me.
Let's Rank!!
The Bends
Kid A
OKC
In Rainbows
Amnesiac
KoL
HTTT
Pablo Honey
Radiohead is like three different bands to me...
I can't really put Pablo Honey up against OKC because so different.
Here's what I'd go with:
OKC
In Rainbows
The Bends
Kid A
Amnesiac
KoL
HTTT
Pablo Honey

Who wants to drive the boat (that has posted each day) for next month's challenge?!
By drive the boat, you mean pick the categories for each day?
Late to the party but:
OKC
Kid A
The Bends
In Rainbows
Amnesiac
HTTT
KOL
Never heard Pablo Honey in its entirety but I did see them on that tour, for $2.
