Title: 5G Phones
Post by: GBL on August 26, 2021, 10:33:45 PM
I got my new Pixel 5a today (upgraded from a Pixel 3 XL)

Curious what anyone else has experienced with a 5G phone, and if there is anything I should know/understand etc.

Also, I do use Google Fi which uses T-Mobile and U.S Cellular networks, fwiw

I've got a Note +10 5G. Things is, there is no 5G service in 99.9% of areas I'm in - so it is essentially useless. And I never use wifi. About to switch carriers, so this may change. Will report back.

There's 5G coverage in most Canadian cities on Rogers.

I have really enjoyed using Google Fi, in respect to both coverage and cost
