Can we talk about the Dead?  I'd love to talk about the fucking Grateful Dead, for once, can we please discuss the Grateful FUCKING Dead!?!?!?!

sunday going into monday...

Matt Costa • Songs We Sing
Trey Anastasio • Shine
Keb Mo' • Keb Mo'
Great Big Sea • Rant & Roar
Van Morrison • Moondance  (one of the best bedroom albums, ever).
Norah Jones • Come Away With Me
The Little Willies • The Little Wilies

picked up the Keb Mo' on the way to a family gathering, glad we did. My fiancé and I don't have the same tastes in music (she's not into live music), so it's always nice when we find something we can both dig on in the car. Actually, because of her, I'm getting back into listening to studio albums, my collection had gotten quite dusty.

Miles Davis: Plugged Nickel
Monk and Coltrane: Carnegie Hall
DMB: Crash
Charlie Parker: Bird at the Roost
Sheryl Crowe the new one

Hey jonyem - have you ever heard Astral Weeks? Close call between that and Moodance, IMO. Both are great
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

astal weeks gets alot of buzz, mainly because it is not as well known as moondance,
but i still think that moondance edges it out.
both are GREAT albums, though.

Moondance is more "song" oriented; I have a tough time deciding which one I like better. Tupelo Honey is a close 3rd, but clearly 3rd.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.
