I was at both the shows they mention that he sat in; I kind of assume there are a few more the writer didn't catch?

The 11/19/92 show was something; he played pedal steel not just on Poor Heart as mentioned in the article there, but also Llama and Fast Enough For You, which was a live debut and an absolutely fucking exquisite moment in an absolute barn-burner of a show.

I have several of his early records solo & with Pine Island in the 70s. The man could wrangle some strings.

Never got to see him live, but I love his work with Phish and Mike's sols stuff.
