so jimmy butler is out tonite.
knicks win or riot.

also, apparently Brunson injured his ankle in game 1 and noone knew he was dealing with a ton of pain in the second half.
sorta explains why he looked tenative.

ETA: this first half got me stressed.
Brunson definitely not looking well.

From the get, I have never believed Tatum has the mettle needed to be a leader. He wilts under pressure. Great reg season guy, monster numbers, but when crunch time hits he falls apart. Last night was a hugely important game to not go down 2 in the series, at home nonetheless. And he played his worst game of the entire year??? Single digits. On the day Embiid is awarded MVP?? Coincidence? Dude is a head case.

Bucks fired coach Bud.
Can't say i'm suprised, but man, dude got them to a championship 2 years ago, they had the best record in the East, and Giannis' injury basically screwed them vs Miami.

also, Looney w/ illness tonight vs LA.
Should be interesting.

Did you watch the game or are you basing this on the box score (or the stupid column by the worst writer on the planet, Dan Shaughnessy)?  I ask because while he didn't score and his shot wasn't falling, he ran that offense that beat the absolute shit out of the Sixers, and his presence and "gravity" is what led to his teammates all going off.  It's not all just pointzzz...

The dude is 25 and he has led the team to the EC Finals 3 times and the Finals once.  He's averaging 29/10/5 so far this playoffs. None of Jordan, Lebron, Steph, Durant, Giannis won a title before the age of 26.  I'd say he's on a normal development path, and would look superhuman if he ever got the whistle that guys like Giannis and Embiid get.

for the record i think Tatum's a stud.
He was like 5th in mvp voting this year if i recall. Well deserved.
If there's any issue with Tatum i see it more from being paired with Brown and the struggle of trying to develop two stars that basically share the same position.
That being said, I think they've done pretty fucking good all things considered.

AS far as leadership goes... i mean the team has some serious vets already.
Smart is definitely the charismatic/vocal leader.
Horford is the lead by example 'effort' leader.
 just my 2 cents.

Tatum is a bum, along with the entire Celtics roster

LETS GO KNICKS!

Hope Robert Williams didn't just get injured trying to save a ball out of bounds...

and OMG did Embid's foot just land on  Grant William's head and break all his teeth?!?! :o

Knicks inexperience really showing in this first half today.
Starting to feel like winning in the first round was their ceiling.
Not surprising considering the massive playoff experience for the heat comparatively.

this game falls on Randle, imo

right from the get go he was pouting and complaining, which set the tone for the team.

Add to that he didn't play defense 75% of time, took wild shots, and turned the ball over all the time, recipe for disaster

guy isn't worth the chaos he brings to the team, he's thinks/demands that he's the #1, but acts like a zero

Hicks

Making it to the second round for the first time in 10 years is a pretty good outcome Knicks I'd say.

I think Brunson is still improving and the overall outlook for the team looks promising.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

He was bad today but in no way was the entire game on him.
the whole team came out flat and not ready to play.
which is why i was saying it was due to playoff inexperience.
AFAIK we don't have a single player on the team that has ever been in the 2nd round of the playoffs before. (not counting D Rose)
The series is far from over though.

I think you're overreacting a bit when you say he brings chaos to the team.
IF you ask anyone on that team including Tibadeau they say he's a huge team player and key to their success.
Randall looked like shit today,  but he's injured as fuck dude.
he's playing through a ton of pain.
You can tell his mobility is about 50% atm.
I wish they could go without him but we already tried that game 1.
Taking him out screws our rotations.
there isnt a good alternative.

Don't get me wrong.
i'd trade Randall in a heartbeat if we could get an all star in return, or at least try to push him into the #3 option slot.
but considering where the team was 4 years ago i can't complain at all.
We've come a long way and Randall has helped us rebuild.
