Nice gap in there for Jazzfest date too.

Would love to hit up the Denver show, depending on ticket price. Never seen the Stones.

I'm in the same boat. I hope I'll be around then!

yeah, if i can get nosebleeds for under $100, i may do it.  but i doubt anything will be that cheap.  we'll see.

The last time I saw them was at Jerry Jones World in Dallas. They offered $50 fan tickets that were basically blind seats. You had to buy a pair. If you ordered these fan tickets you had to go to a specific entrance for your willcall. Once there they had you grab an envelope with two tickets in it. Until you opened that envelope you had no idea where you'd be. They said there were everything from front row to nosebleeds in there. We ended up with really good side stage seats.

If they do that again it's totally worth it.

This. If I can find something reasonable, I may venture up to Jacksonville.

They have at least 3 days between every show.  Not sure if those are rest days because they're all getting up there in age, or if their stage show is so massive that they need multiple days to break it down and set it up.

Saw the stones play Fenway years ago. Meh. I won't be going back for more.

Seen em twice, best being 40 Licks tour at the Rogers Center. I was on the floor and was able to move around till I was about 4 -5 rows back. Got a wicked version of Angie at that show, which was the highlight for me.

Saw them in Indy at the speedway.

Worth it for once, even with the $$tickets.

same - saw them at the Garden and Fenway. I'm glad I saw them but have no need to see them again.

Seen them twice - the first time was in Zilker Park in Austin and it was fucking stellar. The second in Jerry World in DFW and it was mehtastic... that said, I will see them at Jazzfest for sure. Will be special. Can't wait.

Yeah that 28th to May 7th is like 10 day gap. Leaves a perfect space for the 5/2 jazzfest rumor. And Mick pretty much announced it last night.

I've seen them twice. Managed to pull 4 suite tickets to the Houston show. I love the Stones and they remind me of my father, i'll always go see them if I can.  Take the train 2 blocks from my house to dinner with my cousins and then walk to the show. Looking forward to it!

Last time I saw the Stones was at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 1995. They were pretty good.

Is Keith playing a nylon/gut-strung guitar there?  :-o

Saw them in '89. Clapton sat in for a few songs. It was pretty good.
Don't need to see them again.

My guess is that they chopped up a dealer and used his entrails.

Heart valve surgery for Mick, probably will be 2020 before he is back in shape to go on the road.

they initially said valve, now they're saying stent, which makes more sense.

If that's true, most people could be back at work in a week. I bet there is a several million dollar insurance policy on this tour so they will make him take his time getting back. I suspect late summer / fall

ETA story is changing again, so who knows. If he leaves the hospital Saturday it's a stent. If he leaves later in the week it's a valve.
Either way, all the best Mick!!!

This. Haven't been this excited about a show in a long time. Rock and roll and nostalgia are both great things, when you combine them its even better.

Catheter valve replacement, pretty incredible that they can do this now.

Hopefully I'll live long enough to need another bypass and it will be done the same way.

Just read that it was a transcatheter valve and a stent. A "normal" person would probably go home later today or tomorrow, then back to work in about a week or so. Of course nothing about Mick is normal.

Yes, it's pretty cool what can be done these days.

and hopefully Hicks, you'll live a long time and not need any other stuff done to / for your heart

I think it's best to be realistic about my prospects and ~30 years from my surgery when I'm in my late 60s or 70s it's highly likely that my grafts will need to be replaced. But who knows where we'll be with the technology at that point, so I'm hopeful that it won't be the same ordeal I went through.

At the DC show (which I did not attend) they busted out "Mercy, Mercy", which they haven't played since the Hyde Park show that became Brian Jones' public memorial. That's 50 years, you guys.
