My fantasy scenario would have me doing 10 of these dates. Now about those real-world logistics...

OK - Advice requested... I can probably convince the wife I'm doing either Halloween or NYE... no way I'm doing both this year. My gut says Halloween... it's cheaper and easier and much less of a "ditch the wife on a big holiday" deal.

I stand behind that decision PG. Idk why but Vegas and Halloween sounds more fun and less stressful than NYC for NYE.

Also, I booked a room at the Westin - it's not too far from the MGM but it is off the strip just a bit. 10 minute walk to the Brooklyn Bowl. The corporate rate I got is $119 a night - total with tax and everything is $645 for all four nights.
Looked at MGM, NYNY, etc. and they all come in well over $1000 with resort fees, etc... If anyone else wants in on the Westin, let me know. I can book more rooms and the cancellation policy is really easy. It's a dump by Vegas standards, but it's a Westin so it doesn't suck.
Also, I'd be ok with a roomate or two, but at that price I ain't sharing a bed.
What's the weather like in Nashville in October?

My friends mom has a time share half mile from MGM so probably gonna go that route.
Just booked a free flight from the Southwest coupon+ miles. Just need tickets. Cant freakin wait!

Fahk, I wonder if I'll ever get to a Halloween, the last notch on my belt. No way I can miss a Tuesday in the fall, start of my week and the busiest time of year, a redeye is out of the question. Anyway, see you kids on Saturday and Sunday night! I'll take what I can get.

Yeah pretty stoked Vegas ends the tour, I feel like I got somewhat lucky with the gorge/Bill Graham run being at the end of a "lackluster" summer tour as far as jamming goes. I think I got the lady on board rather quickly with Vegas as this probably means North East fall next year if anything, we are doing Mexico this January but definitely will not be making it in 2017, they played the gorge this summer so doubt that will happen next year and New Year's Eve is always a little bit too expensive for us. I don't even want to think about what the NYE run in 2010 cost us, brutal. Anyway, seems like there may not be a lot of opportunities to see the boys west of the Rockies come next year so striking while the iron is hot!
That's a nice looking run there in Vegas! Kinda sad that the UIC dates didn't actualize.

Seems like a given to me but I'm rarely right with these things.
I'd think the timing of each won't allow it but, I have been wrong before.
Kind of considering going to Nashville to see Bobby at the Ryman one night and Phish the other.

i put in an order for 1 for each night of atlanta. i have friends down there and a ride to a from the airport. not 100% sure i'm in, but this is by far the cheapest option of any of the shows of the tour i can hit. it's looking like the most likely. i already have a hold on my CC. 1 night lawn, 1 night pav.
i think i'm going to try online for a 4 day vegas pass. if i pull that then i have a hell of a decision to make. if i don't pull it then the decision will be made.
Got the second night of Nashville, but struck out for night 1.

Yes, only able to secure lawn for night 1, but Phish gave me GA Pit for night 2, so, I am content.
I have been spending more time in Nashville as of late as I pass through there back an forth from Florida to see the kiddos. I've really enjoyed getting to know the city better and am really looking forward to seeing Phish there too.

Oh I've noticed. That is my most heard song (16 out of 48 shows) and have not heard a single one since Lockn even though I've caught every show this Fall so far. I actually enjoy the song but that ratio was painful.
