Great to see ya Scott last night!
Thanks for the private show!  :-D
ya'll sounded great!

i imagine sunday in lincoln is a tough market for a jamband, huh?
Da
Especially for their first time in town.

You'd think 'never miss a Sunday show' was universal but, alas...

As strange as it may seem, and perhaps a sign of how low our expectations have dropped for 'gigs like that,' I actually considered Lincoln a tiny success.  They gave us a free hotel, a free meal, and paid for our gas from Minneapolis -> Denver.  The bar usually doesn't even have music on Sundays (for good reason) but the owner knew us, and really wanted to get our name out in Lincoln.

As a touring band, believe it or not, sometimes a show can be 'successful' w/o anyone there.  Its all relative. We didn't exactly gain fans - but we did secure a new market that is a days drive from Colorado. That means, once we live out here and want to tour eastword, we don't have to start EVERY tour $300-400 in the whole after driving for a couple days and staying in hotels. I mean, for reference.... last time on the way out to Colorado, we played Lawrence, KS. That show also had no one there..... but they also paid us nothing and didn't give us anywhere to stay.

So anyways. Lincoln is "cool" with me.

Fun show last night!  Really glad I came out

Felt like you guys started out strong in the first set

Was bummed when you didn't go full on into simple man though, that's like my favorite song! Haha

the real question is, was Molly Jane there?

VDB

I've always wondered how the sleeping situation works with road warrior bands. I'm sure it tracks with a band's growth. Didn't realize sometimes the venue itself steps in there.
Is this still Wombat?

Once you're big enough (we're not) having lodging requirements or a pay-out = to that is a pretty standard part of any band rider/contract.

At our level, it's not common place, but the offer is there maybe 20% of the time. It's also usually location based (ie. New England=NEVER ..... Colorado=Usually/Always in the Mtn. towns..... the Southeast=Sometimes)

We stay stay in as little hotels as possible, for the most part.  We usually have a fan or friend or one of you goons or some fan's, friend's aunt's Dog's house to stay at in most cities.

They open for Dopapod at the Paradise on 4/7.  You should come down for that show.  :beers:

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

You guys. Colorado is the f'n best.

This past weekend of shows in Denver/Boulder completely solidified that moving out here is a very smart move.
