Damn, and Will actually won his first Oscar later. Too bad that's not going to be what people remember about last night...


ETA:  So I had assumed Jada's hair loss was cancer related.... which, if so.... that's a bit more off-limits.  But I just learned it's alopecia, which she has talked about openly.  Also.... GI Jane was hot as hell so that's not really offensive.  It's just kind of a bad joke in general, imo, but Will went off the rails!

This led to some interesting discussions in my house this morning - the bullying side of it sucks. I know it's a thing for comedians to roast folks, and I'm all for it when you're "punching up." The joke about Jada was not really that. It was shitty. 

That said, I'm a pacifist. I've never hit anyone in my life with the intention of hurting them. Words should be met with words, not physical violence.
