The 94 style is so fast, love it.
Epic set! Was one of my first bootlegs back in the day, so much heady music. So great to see it visually w/ improved sound. Watched the entire set w/ my 12 y/o, he loved it.
Thank you Phish! :phish: :rawk:
I dont remember the last time I listened to a gamehendge set. So great!
Hadn't seen this one before tonight. That was fun. The Pert-Plus comment got me good.😀
The dsky cap was a real tit ripper.

Good times. Seems like I went to all the shows before and after these. Not sure why I didn't go to GW....
Mike was on a Modulus for set one. Back to the doc for set two. Odd.
Honestly felt a bit misty eyed during that Sky, so masterpiecey.
set 1 was sick, watched it all
ps. i like reba
Sup y'all.

it's funny, people would be all "wtf" if they opened a second set with Rift>Sample these days (probably myself included) but when they crush them like they did in 94 it's just.... Phish

By the end of 94 I was tired of Sample.
ETA: from my zzyzx stats: "Sample in a Jar was seen in every show from 4/25/94 to 10/12/94 [7 shows]."
Great DaaM

I was listening to 5/8/93 today and obviously that show is just ridiculous, but it struck me thst the second set is essentially backwards by today's standards starting with Bowie, Horse > SITM and ending with Mikes Groove.
They just had a completely different setlist philosophy back then.
and here we go! Jamming!
94 stash b like
Wait.... this is the fuckin' A Live One Stash right?! totally forgot that until this moment...
This is legit one of the best Phish vids I've ever seen, VHS 4 LYPHE!
i woulda been so done after that stash. like, i can die now done.
Yeah. That's the granddaddy of all Stashes.

Yeah. That's the granddaddy of all Stashes.
A Live One was my first Phish album so I've pretty much compared every Stash to that one since hearing it. It's a perfect version.
Mike's moves during Stash = almost as funky as James Brown on his worst night.
jesus im jamin so hard

He and trey used to have a whole routine for Stash. You see trey actively giving up on it in this vid. Haha

Did not know that, cool!
Watched it late last night.
Whew.
They played the hell out of that show.
That was incredible. Sadly, my first show was the following night.

Next night is arguably a better show, without the coolness factor of Gamehendge. I wouldn't complain about catching that one. I mean, there are probably 20 better shows in 94 then the one they picked, but that just goes to show how consistent they were back then. And Gamehendge is cool, but there are so many smokers from this era.

Yeah kinda surprising they haven't released Big Birch yet.
We don't really need it because we already have the SBD, but that's never stopped them before.

Yeah, didn't mean to sound like I was complaining. Just wish I had caught both shows that weekend at Great Woods. Probably would have if I had made it into the Mann show a week before and seen what a show was actually like. Instead I hugged a tire in the lot after ingesting roughly a tenstrip... :wtu:
When they announced that broadcast I was excited about Gamehenge. I forgot how great the 2 set was
My thoughts exactly. That second set! I only caught Sugarbush that summer because I was busy following the Dead around the country which was a hell of an adventure actually, but I clearly missed some prime Phish.
Crisp, high-octane Phish. It's a thing to behold.
