that might have been the first live show i got, the i bought the DVD at best buy, (over vegas 03 and vegas 96, now i see my huge mistake) but hey it was still pretty cool, especially that tower jam, that was rad!

heres one of my grerat n00b mistakes.  i didnt sleep for two days before this (tower jam) happened, and i was way too dippy to stay up and i listened to 20 min of this from my campsite and then passed out. :shakehead:

Yeah, well I made the same mistake for the disco set at the Went so I don't know which is worse.  I knew I wasn't missing IT in 2003 and ended up being the only one from our crew that caught it.
I was new to the Phish phenomenon and didn't even know about it til later.

It's worth mentioning somewhere that there were serious cameras capturing all 3 nights at the Greek. There are no vid screens anywhere in the venue, so they were hopefully filming for a dvd release.

ALthough, I must say, I am a bit dismayed to learn of the footbell.  All this time, I thought those clangs in pH 2001's, etc, were GNARLY ride-bell-shots courtesy of Fishman, and it made me love him so much more when I'd hear those.  I guess its cool that its actually Mike, but....  ugh.  Now that image in my head of Fishman waaaailing onto his ride cymbal is actually not what happens.

Wait, what? At what spot did you see that? That's always been one of my favorite things I thought Fish did, it's something I replicated in my playing, totally love using that in a groove....

Yeah, I've been hearing it a lot more lately now and Mike's bell sound is clearly different from the sound you hear when Fish hits the bell of the ride when he's in a groove.....two completely different things....

The date uploaded on that is actually from before the run, but that does look like the Hartford lot.  Maybe it's from '09.
