Chalk Dust Torture was unfinished. Trey teased Waves in Steam.

I thought the first set was really tight.  Probably the best Foam Trey has played in a while, and Stash was a great version.   The Chalkdust went through several really nice segments.  This was a really good phish show.

Last night seemed really fun. Chalkdust was the high for sure for me but the whole second set rounded out well.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

Lots of great playing last night.  Stash and Chalk Dust were my set highlights respectively.  Stash had lots of eastern sounds from Trey coupled with a stretched out full band ending, excellent.  Chalk Dust left me slack jawed a few times this am.  Past around the 11 minute mark, Page switches to his synth, Mike and Fishman are locked into a seriously deep groove.  They keep IT going for quite awhile.  Epic.

trey obviously practiced the turtle in the clouds dance routine.  mike obviously did not.

Just listened to that CDT, and they definitely stretched their legs out on that one. They are moving in a more positive direction after shaking off the cobwebs in the first couple shows. No traveling last night, so they should be a bit more settled in for tonight.

now this was a fucking Phish show.  First set jams, crazy setlist placements, exploration.... it was all there.  Trey even played Foam.  CORRECTLY.  What year is it?
