Great Went is over 20 minutes, I think that's the first really big one.

:frustrated: not sure how we forgot about the Went 2001 (I was not there).

WHO TAUGHT YOU HOW TO LST?!?!

But I always forget just how well these shows flow. I always end up doing "just jams" because I wore these ones out in my youth (like they actually get old ever).  It'd been a while since I've heard any of the island tour, but this is definitely one of my favorites of the 4.

And I really love this LxL and ghost. I was late to the party, on lizards now

Pretty sure he was tied over in Switzerland for Albert Hoffman's B-day party.

So what was the first "extended" 2001? and what was the first "jammed " 2001?

Albany 97 has a extended version I think and Philly

Right on. I can only recall the "jammed" versions coming in 97ish. Are there semi-jammed previous versions? 93-94 ones i think were all short..?

Yeah not too many that top 5-6 min in 94-96. Maybe that Pershing 95 one. But it looks like first big extended one was Champlain 97 at 17 min.

Great Went is over 20 minutes, I think that's the first really big one.

It started getting into the 8-9 minute range at the end of 1996.

Oh yeah GW and I think the PA show in the summer has an extended 2001
Wonder how many 96 ones are extended because of 2-3 min of Trey on the mini kit

I'm so glad they chose this show, in retrospect.  I've had the CDs since they came out, and this was always the least favorite of mine.  I mean it was fine, but it never struck me as anything special.  However, now that I see the lights and get the full synergy of what was going on, i am very impressed with this 2nd set.  There's a lot of flubs here and there from... everyone haha but i guess this was the first iteration of the "Hey we've got a great synergy, we don't really need to practice" ethos.  Sorta like pre-2.0 attitude.

I was especially taken with the Brother jam and the 2001.  What work by CK5.  There were many, many parts of that 2001 that i felt should have kept going and been longer.  Didn't even realize it was a 1-verse 2001 until watching either!  Crazy stuff.
