Can Rage really fill the United Center in Chicago?
Its like a 23K capacity for concerts.

good point.  dead and company and guns and roses are both playing wrigley field, which is also very surprising.  i don't know how these acts do it.

dead and co surprised me with the large venues they can fill.  GN'R though?  Not surprising at all.  They filled soldier field a few years back.  it was awesome too.  Rage never came close to being as big as GN'R
They got run the jewels too so that could bring out some more people.
When my buddy told me they sold 50k tickets to def leopard and Motley Crue at coors field within 2 hours, I was pretty surprised. Those 80s hair bands are still going strong!

If you've never seen the Crue live, you're missing out. They put on one helluva good show.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

About time this shirt comes back on lot...

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

You sure about that Clark?

Everything is connected, because it's all being created by this one consciousness. And we are tiny reflections of the mind that is creating the universe.

To be fair the last time I saw them was at Deer Creek in 1994.

Crüe has been a band roughly as long as  :phish:

Yeah, I'd pay money to see one of those two bands for sure. It ain't Crüe.

GNR at soldier field was seriously good?

its was great.  Axl's voice was at 90% of the old days, and of course Slash is still Slash.
Although I know you're more into the guttural yelling, double bass thing, which isn't my style.

Vince has sucked for a long time.  But that vid has his vocals singled out so its not really indicative of the sound of their shows.
In terms of the show itself, its a good fucking time.

The Crüe show last night was fucking sick.

Giant pentagram light rig?  Check.

Explosions?  You bet yer ass.

Tommy Lee soloing while his kit ran along tracks over the crowd while spinning in circles?  Fuckin right.

Nikki's bass shooting fire??  Mmm hmmm.

Even Alice Cooper opening was good.  Did a sweet mashup of School's Out/Another Brick in the Wall, got electrocuted, and had his head chopped off.
