Haven't read The Road but I did see the film. If we're talking McCarthy I could see a little Blood Meridian motif here, but that wasn't on my mind at the time.

Little oil pastel sketch. Been a long time on these but I feel like we used to do them in school all the time.

Thanks mang. The secret is to just keep making brushstrokes (mostly knifestrokes in this case) until you like what you see.
