[1] Lyrics changed to "It's Phish in Mexico time."
Only caught the Torn > Ghost > Free and it was a pretty sweet opening trio.
yep...they came out swinging with the first 3. shake your coconuts was not good. loved the return of landlady>destiny!
good opener. Shade baby!
cant believe I havent caught a YEM since Bakers Dozen :'(
Why was it only one set?
it was a gift! wasn't supposed to happen at all. best gift ever.

Why was it only one set?
The Mexico shows were only 3 days in the past. This year they added a 4th day with a 'welcome set'.
Which doesn't answer the 'why' exactly... but... that was the plan.

I think "because" is a sufficient answer.
Pretty decent playing for the opening run. That Free is fun. You can really hear Mike's fucked up pedal though haha, that thing has trouble tracking and you get that glitchy distortion.
Landlady > Destiny was fun. Glad that got one more trip out. The slower tempo sometimes gets to me, but they played well.
I do love a good Torn and Frayed. That'd be sweet if they brought it back to regular rotation.
Rocked this today. Sold stuff. The highlight was easily the Torn and Frayed > Ghost > Free. Really enjoyed that Free jam.
Finally getting around to listening to these shows. I'm 99.99% sure that the jam that starts at around the 9 minute mark of Free is Hallucinate a Solution by Circles Around the Sun.

They're actually remarkably similar. But it's Shipwreck as performed by the Phish band on 10/31/14... prior to the formation of Circles Around The Sun.

Just went back and listened to Shipwreck, and yeah...they are remarkably similar. Due to them not playing Shipwreck since 10/31/14, I think that song disappeared from my consciousness. Either way, it seems worthy of being noted on the setlist, no?

Phish.net lists it as a transition. " Ghost > Free > Shipwreck -> Free"
"This show was webcast via LivePhish and featured multiple bustouts: Torn and Frayed was last played on July 7, 2012 (285 shows),
Shipwreck was last played on October 31, 2014 (189 shows), and Shake Your Coconuts was played on July 21, 2017 (100 shows). The return to Free contained Rescue Squad and Shipwreck quotes. The lyrics in Shake Your Coconuts were changed to "It's Phish in Mexico time." Trey teased Walk This Way in You Enjoy Myself."

Keller's still never caught a YEM. I don't think he's anywhere close to 200 shows though.

yems these days...meh. so many other songs i'd rather see.
200 shows without a YEM would be very tough to pull off, but have heard of it taking people like 30 shows to get one.
I haven't seen one since 11/2/14, would definitely like to see it again this summer.

They played it throughout the second set on the final night of the first Mexico (1/17/2016). Mostly during the Disease iirc, and it's def worth a listen. Also, fwiw, Phish.net is so stingy with what they count as a tease or a full song. I'll give them the Party Time tease, but for them to not make any mention of the Guy Forget on 12/28 is ludicrous.
