that was a great show, leaving in the morning for alpine :rockout:
I heard some things happened.
Can't wait to listen.
Reading a book and listening to this Chalk Dust. I saw Jambase or somebody mentioned the Providence Bowie in their write up and it's on point. They get into the same almost-but-not-at-all progression of one of my favorite passages from that Bowie. Anyway, this one gets my approval.
Trey asking ween to get back together was priceless! And I hope they take his advice!!
They are on Fire!
Another good show! Heard very good things about cdt> tweez

Believe those good things.
Watched the webcast of the second set at a bar, all killer no filler.
Tweezer stretched out nicely, Lizards was on point, the best Trey has played it in recent memory. Makisupa was fun with vape lyrics, and good to see for the first time this year. I guess it hasn't been played since the "kush bush" extravaganza in AC? Crazy. After a missed attempt the segue into Ghost was smooth. Ghost, while short, was a particularly raging version.
That this show was probably the third or fourth (or maybe even fifth?) best show of the tour shows how on fire they've been.
Now that looks like a badass fucking phish show!
Good to see/hear - anxious to check this out! Jams a plenty...
Didn't pay attention to the first set until It's Ice (funked up) and Gin (pumped up), second set was nails.

ditto here, got onto the stream as Ice began, sick jam. Second set was indeed the heat. It sounded like they ended Chalk Dust but kept playing ala the jam after Mike's from 4Aug. Tweezer too was a nice jam fest. In Chalk Dust towards the end of the post jam they hit some Quadrophonic Topplings spaces w/ CK hitting the green lights appropriately.
Ghost was a nice version, Trey was digging in deep w/ single note bends ala SRV in Riviera Paradise. The funk that followed was tasty as well. I faded out during the Hood jam.

Oh yeah, forgot about the on demand. Might have to cue that up too.
Very excited to rock this on my way to the horse track to gamble!!
listening now and really enjoyed set I but the snails pace of things like Weekapaug and now Chalk Dust these days is excruciating. look forward to the jam still
To me it sounds like Trey is playing For The Love of Money by The O'Jays during the Ice jam.

Pretty sure phish.net has that one on record. @bizarchive tweeted it earlier.

I haven't heard much of this tour, a new girlfriend has been taking up most my time, but this is a great first set capped by a wonderful Gin. Listened to it 3 times.
On to set II.
Damn! This Its Ice breakdown is awesome.
best Its Ice of 3.0? I remember that MPP 13 one was pretty decent this is one is totally diff beast.
This gin aint bad either! Havent even made it to the juicy part of the show yet and im loving the playing in this show.

was really hoping they were going to extend it while watching the stream. nice groove into ripcord :frustrated:
CDT has some hints of Very Long Fuse in the jam I believe.

the breakdown is cool. Trey forgets how to play a lot of the actual song, though.

This is very true. Rift songs are like falling down elevator shafts.

Yeah true, the Rift from Bend wasnt bad though.
CDT jam is nice, the slide into tweez was a little choppy but they got there. Composed tweezer part is pretty rough they cant seem to sync up, Tweezer jam is pretty awesome though. THey really lock into that. They seem to be nailing these jams but flubbing the songs haha.
Lizards sounding pretty tight for only time played this tour....and as I type this Trey flubs a little bit of the composed part but recovers nicely.

I liked the CDT > tweez
it sounded like he inverted the riff (I assume intentionally), everyone followed along, and then eventually reverted it to the song.
in general, they have been bringing it this tour.
Love this Gin.
Finished the second set. Hot diggity it's great. CDT and Tweezer are both very, very good.
From what I've listened to so far from this summer this Tweezer might be my favorite jam of the tour. (Note: I just started Alpine and I'm listening in order) Really the only thing that competes is the DWD from Alabama or the Mike Groove from Nashville.

Shoreline Twist is a contender IMO.
Haven't listened to last night yet but that Twist is getting lots of hype too.
