witnessed? 12/30/99 mikes>simple>hydrogen>weekapaug

ive heard it was a fog machine malfunction, but holy shit, the whole stage during mikes was enveloped in smoke with some seriously crazy lights going down, with even seriously crazier playing......

some old dead heads who just came to party we camped next to were turned into believers after that
they couldnt get over it when we got back "home" that night, saying it was the coolest thing they had ever seen/heard

i had to agree

Same thing happened (the out-of-control fog complementing the out-of-control jam) during one of the '92 NYE run-up shows, but I forget which one. I was pretty close, maybe ten rows back, and the fog stopped just in front of us. So strange--made double check to see I wasn't dosed.

Yeah, it was dope for sure.  Did they play Hydrogen?

I don't even remember.

That Mike's was CHAOS!

I remember that as well. Totally awesome.
Yes. They played Hydrogen. It was my first time seeing "I Am Hydrogen" since 1994.

That was a good one.  We watched it from the roof of our RV behind the stage and I just sat there watching the hot air balloon do all kinds of crazy stuff.....My gf at the time was too spun out to go back in to the show, so we lawn chaired it on top of the rv.....it was fun.  The whole set is good.....

The opening of Hydrogen is like a massage from a million miniature geishas.
I second the 11-19-1992, I love the 'Those were the days' teases in  Weekapaug.

And I'll third that.  Gorgeous.

I wish.  I'd love to see a video of this show pop up.

So many choice moments in that gig.  It'd be worth it for set 2 alone!  :-o
