I still have my old VHS of that shit.
Surprised I didn't wear it out.

Obviously, SRV was a local hero in these parts.

I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Good idea. Think I'll do the same.

I remember having a life altering moment watching that, I think it was during I shall be released. It was one of those moments when I realized music can be my everything.

The Charlie Daniels Band - Live At Rockpalast

Picked this up for only 2 euros  :beers:

The whole thing is on Youtube:

On Hulu I found PRINCE: THE GLORY YEARS UNAUTHORIZED -

Really good compared to a lot of poorly-made, talking head unauthorized music docs. I've been on a Prince kick ever since I watched it. Lots of face time with Dez Dickerson (the guitarist from the Revolution, Japanese Rising Sun headband guy) who seems like a really cool cat. Decent analyses from a few music critics, too.

BEWARE OF MR. BAKER

Yes, it was a fun doc and inspired me to check out more of his recordings (GB's Airforce, the African stuff) that I haven't heard yet. Compelling interviews throughout.
No, I would never want to hang out with him and I feel sorry for anybody trying to work in a band - much less a family - with him.

Fuckin' polo horses, dude?
