For anyone who is a quake fan i highly recommend Quake live.
The website is www.quakelive.com

Its quake 3 arena implemented in a browser plugin. You register, download a small .exe, Do a bullshit training, and then you can go to old school dm or ffa.
The training ranks how you are among other players and puts you in a bracket best suited.

I think its an awesome step for gaming, taking old classics and making it available to everyone.

I started this awhile ago a purposely entered as a beginner. Still found some uber players though. It's amazing how many good people are playing.
