I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?

Hells yes it does, Walfredo opener would rule!

I'm going, Its one of my top 5 favorite venues. They have only played there three times yes? No reason to miss one now.

I'm thinking four.
One was opening for Santana.

I'll have to double check, but I think they may have played there more than just 98, 99, 00.  I'll get back to you on that.....

EDIT: Rowjimmy beat me to it.  I was thinking Santana as well, I just wasn't sure.

The only part of the three that I've seen there that I did not like was Meatstick in 99.

98 was sick. Hit that show with Igbo and VaSlim, Hot, sunny, day; traffic sucked. Great music. 2001 > Tela > Piper... sick.

99 was a lot of kickassitude. Went to that with Igbo and our future wives. As I said, I did not like Meatstick.

2K was very cool. Went with my new wife, three days after my birthday, They played the newly dusted off "Curtain With" and that straight up epic second set.

Interesting to look at these side-by-side. There's a number of repeats between 99 & 2k.
