Shows that need to be tracked down (again)

So most of you know I'm on a lazy quest for 10/31/1991.  I've sent out a few emails and have had a few hits, but no luck...

I thought I'd start a list of shows that appear on DB, but do not circulate as of now... 

If you feel the need, try emailing some of these people and see if we can unearth any of these!

I'm gonna sticky this thread.....for those of you who have the need to get all of phish, please chip in and shoot an email or two to a collector on every show
I know it seems like a lot, but I've found when I don't get a response on one of these, if I bombard them the second time with 4 or 5 emails I get a response. They may not be the most pleased, but you can fix that when you mail the b/p by kicking down some vids or shows. If people see a slew of phish requests they may be more prone to respond.

That's a good idea, John.  Seeing multiple emails like that would generate a sense of urgency.  If a handful of us got together and tried this we could knock a couple of those off the list I'm sure.  Hopefully more than a couple. 

A couple of other hints, too...

Don't forget to check Phishhook in addition to etree.  Lots of people keep lists there.  http://www.phishhook.com/search.php

And, even if you have no way to transfer a cass or DAT, still send out an email.  Between here and the shnfamily they're plenty of people who can transfer things.  Also, don't be afraid to email people who haven't updated their list in a long time.  I typed out one message, and copy/pasted it into an email to everyone who had that 10/31/91 show on their list.  I got a bunch of "failed delivery" email returns, but it was worth it, because out of the 6 or 7 responses I got back a few of them were actually from people who haven't updated their list in 5+ years.  BTW, he sent me an email saying that he's located it, so as long as everything works out from here we should have it soon.

Maria seems to have quite a few of these on Cass...  She states on her DB List that she's going digital and SHNFam-ing them...  Did that ever happen???  She seems like a good candidate to "resurrect"...

^^^Honestly ive seen here in the hub once...she has the coveted 10/31/91 but not sure if she xfred it or not. 10-26-91 looks sweet. We shoudl also add 1991-10-30 to the list

It couldn't hurt to send Maria an email, but she's not really active these days.  Plus, during the time she was active I'm sure she had already sent those tapes away to be transferred.  I believe she sent a ton of her tapes off to marmar, who transferred them.  But, I could be wrong about that.  I don't see her in the hub too often, but she does pop in every now and again, so I know she's still around.

If you don't hear anything back from her I can try to find a more current email address of hers.  There's a few people in the hub who knew her way better than I did.

1) You're all going down a very dangerous path.....it becomes highly addictive.....TRUST me on that one....

2) Most of the quoted shows/sets have been extensively searched out by yours truly....some do exist, some I do have copies of, most are MIA for now.....I've got leads on a few of those MIA dates (people who aren't easily found, I must say) and hopefully I'll be able to get my paws on em to pass along....a few will require 9+hr drives to secure copies of....yes, I'm that dedicated.

3) Maria was going to send me a bunch of stuff but never got around to it.....then everything in my life changed because I am a dick apparently...then the whole health issue....Now that things are on the up&up, I've been debating dusting off the DAW and possibly getting back to the daunting task of sifting thru the hundreds of tapes caravan dropped off to me, a few other gems I've got laying around, and the fact that I recently got back in touch with a dear old friend who has hundreds more tapes for me to go thru....many of which I know are NOT in circulation or are SBD's of shows that SBD's aren't supposed to exist (Forum 92 and New Haven 92 are 2 that spring to mind that are sourced from him)......

I'll bookmark this thread and post updates when they happen.....

YES!! Patrick has emailed me he has 5/25/91 as well as a new source fo 7/11/91...his tape includes the Alumni Blues soundcheck.
