72-track masters since Hampton

FYI, for all those that care about this sort of thing...

I spoke to a member of the crew who was recording the show on an Alesis box using a 6-microphone rig right in front of the SBD, he told me that since Hampton they have been recording 66-track board multitrack masters in addition to his 6-track 5.1 "audience" mix.

It is nice to have just in case.
With today's tech, it doesn't make sense NOT to be running a full multitrack mix when your already running a production of Phish's size.

They should be hiring me to run it, though.

They should ditch the Alesis box and use an X-48 as well.

Perhaps.
I wouldn't buy anything from Alesis with my own money.
