Pumped for these shows on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday I'm about to see.  Perfect birthday after a week full of calculus and micro tests.

Had such a great time, the whole drive up I was talking about how I wanted a Jack Straw and Deal last night... I got both of them so I was happy.  Black Throated Wind was pretty solid as well, along with 'Rider' , 'help' , and I honestly can't remember if I liked the Dark Star or 'Playing' better at this point... The night was pretty wild to say the least.

Furthur was nuts, I had a blast.  The third night seemed a little forced to me, it seemed like they were playing songs instead of a sets if that makes since?? The Scarlet-Fire tranny was pretty poor but I loved the Not Fade Away>Wharf Rat>Sugar Mag.

Night 2 was pretty solid from start to finish, I was so stoked about the 'Throwing Stones' & 'Lovelight'... I was really spun come night 2 and I just got straight down.. Fun times, were had.  You fellow 'paugers that have these boys coming up on your calender are in for a real treat. Enjoy!  :syf:

Revolution was played because of.......................wait for it..........................Egypt. So quite apropos if you ask me!!

As for encores, it's the GD, often I was heading out to the lots to fire up my grill cheeses for the hungry crowds. Not sure an encore should be something to complain about, Day Job anyone?

SO Revolution was for Egypt and that show was for.........................JILL for Valentines day, read the notes below the setlist. Phil is a pretty cool dude....no? It was the exact set list from the first GD show he brought his wife to see in 1982 on a date...2/17/1982 at the Warfield.

That's 2/17/82 Warfield Theatre. I just transferred the master cassettes from the vault:

Man Smart-Woman Smarter

Set 2:
Scarlet Begonias

Supposedly a Valentine's day gift from Phil to Jill:
From another Web site:

"Isn't that '82 Warfield show the one that Phil brought Jill to for their first date? "

'It's in his autobiography.

That's a nice Valentines day present.'
