Definitely not

I know this because I saw someone on another board post that they were going to play this.  They made that post about about two weeks ago

sorry to be a bubble buster

I don't know what's lamer, the idea that they planned to play it two weeks ahead of time, or that they told enough people for it to end up on message boards.

Not buying it.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

It might not have been that long ago... memory is foggy.  But it was posted at least a week before the show.  Luckily I did not read it until after I got home from the show.  I cant stand when people post shit like that.  Wow.. you heard this... dont post about it.  I dont care how cool you think it will make you look that you know somehing, dont post about it and ruin the surprise for everyone else.. ya know.  Major dickheadish move I think.  Keep it to yourself

Why else would they have to pay royalties on it?

And as for the LTJP part, I agree, just call it part of the song.

thats what livephish is calling it. "Alumni Blues".
so if it doesnt ever get played again, is there no more LTJP title?
wonder if royalties or legal issues had anything to do with that decision.

they did just pay out on The Rover.

on livephish it WAS originally labeled Alumni only.
they must have gone back and snuck the LTJP in.

as for this>

the jimmy page title wasnt there at first.
why else would it not have been there?

That's nuts, and it really is disappointing that they would plan it out in advance like that.

Yeah I know.  I could understand maybe a day or two ahead so they can polish it off.  But that far ahead is... well...

WhatstheUse?

Really? You guys are surprised that they plan out there bustouts ahead of time?

That makes complete sense to me.....

They have to practice them before they play them, right?

I don't think it's the fact that they plan to bust something out.  But that they plan to bust it out on a specific date that far ahead

WhatstheUse?

It just seems to me that almost everything in 3.0 has been well planned out ahead of time.

Surely, setlists are written out before shows, and I wouldn't be surprised if they had chose all of their bustouts and new covers before the tour even started.

Things are a bit less spontaneous in the world of phish these days....

oh I totally agree about everything being planned out and I think it's working pretty well.  They definitely have the entire shows planned out setlist wise.  Which is why sometimes Trey has to, what some may call "horseforce" a jam to get the show back on track.  If he didn't then things just wouldnt work
