This has to be the worst matchup of all...

These bands are both fairly meh and otherwise not at all comparable to one another.

Gotta give it to the doors on this one. I'm surprised the chili peppers were a 10 seed. I definitely like a good bit of their music but wouldn't consider them worthy of any "all-time" greatness

This was an easy decision for me. Uplift Mofo Party Plan is better than anything the Doors ever did. It's really that easy. Granted, RHCP went downhill pretty quick in the 90's.
I've been coming to where I am from the get go
Find that I can groove with the beat when I let go
So put your worries on hold
Get up and groove with the rhythm in your soul

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own.

This one is hard for me personally cause RHCP is the first tape I ever saved up for, and I got a boombox for xmas that year, I'm almost positive that tape is worn out. But anyway the doors and jimi are what got me into oldies which essentially got me into the hippie stuff... which lead to phish.

So idk, for the sake of phish im going Doors.

It's a clash of mediocrity!

I did love both of these bands in high school though.

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

Although I liked the Doors a bit more than RHCP.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

there's this much hate for the doors  :?
:shakehead:

Popularity does not trump mediocrity and yes, the two often coincide.

Just because it sounds good on drugs, doesn't make it good. See also: Snoop Dogg.

I never thought that I'd have to consider the fact that "the end" is one of my top 5ish favorite songs a guilty pleasure...
