On the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination, a majority of Americans believe there was a conspiracy to kill JFK, and that Oswald was not a lone assassin with a grudge.

What do you think?  I just left it as two choices:  Oswald acted alone, or there is a greater conspiracy afoot, which you can discuss.

What say you?

Can we talk about the Dead?  I'd love to talk about the fucking Grateful Dead, for once, can we please discuss the Grateful FUCKING Dead!?!?!?!

But, I don't think our fans do happily lap it up, I think they go online and talk about how it was a bad show.

nice! glad I saw this thread,
had to drive the company truck around Annapolis today and had an AM station on had the author of the book "If Kennedy Lived". Very interesting stuff.

Still think it was more than just Oswald.

yeah, I was driving around myself listening to NPR.  All the 'experts' they had on all seemed to agree that it was Oswald acting alone, magic bullet, yadda yadda.  But, they were obviously CIA plants, duh.

I have no doubt that others were involved.
magic bullet my ass.

another interesting read is 11/22/63 by Stephen King - not necessarily because it was about the assassination, but theories about it certainly come up

eta - somoene elses take on this
"toss away stuff you don't need in the end
but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"
"It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

I think eveyrthing seemed to fall into place too perfectly for it to be just oswald.

how did he know the route would be changed, how did he know that bullet proof bubble thing wasnt gonna be used, just a couple things that stick out ot me that someone on the inside had to inform him of some of this stuff. He had to have a line into the organization of the caravan.

A cardiologist who runs marathons? Sounds like a lunatic to me.

This may surprise you, but I am generally skeptical of "official" stories. But you guys are some crazy muthas.

No, I didn't vote.

My bottom line is: do I believe he acted purely alone? I'm skeptical. Do I think there was a grand conspiracy? No fucking way.

The dude who actually lived through it is probably more qualified to opine than any of us.
