they're the type of band that a lot of people just forget about.  then they hear them again and throw them into the rotation and then forget about them.
then a lot of people just dislike them altogether.

here is a recent show that was very good

there seems to be a lot more agreeemnt with the 5 people on the internet that post about moe., but this was pretty well accepted as a great show by everyone.  2nd set is just plain awesome.

That's definitely the way I am with them. Listen to them for a couple weeks, like once a year. Never enough time to explore with greater depth, but still I always enjoy what I hear. Thanks for the rec.

You haven't lived until you've had a robot shart in your ear and followed along in the live setlist thread while it happens.

I fully expect a conehead buddha after show on the 30th.  if it half as good as the NYC show earlier this year, it will be an amazing 2 nights

I was at work so I missed that daytime show, but made it to the after show at the Alehouse, a bar that I worked at in Portland where Swampdonkey (Rob, Adam Terrell, Nate Wilson, and Andy Herrick)  played.  They played there quite a bit that summer as well.  That was sick!  They still have shows every Thursday night from 5-7 in Monument Square btw.  They are mostly local bands, but it is still a really good time.  I made it to a couple last year.  Beer Garden with local brews is fenced in but pretty kick ass!

Here's a show that was taped at the Alehouse a couple of days before:

Felt like checking out my first moe show today.  And what a doozy it was.

Place was bad ass.  The restaurant inside looked like the nightclub from The Mask, and here's a pic of the outside venue.

To the right of the stage where the wooden railing is, is the Delaware River.

Claypools Frog Brigade opened and then followed one of the best moe shows I've seen.  with a 45min heavy metal Meat taboot with an extra guitar.

I use records for that and don't have to justify it to my friends.

The moe. and les tour was a great tour.  I caught the 2 Boston shows.  We only got a 25 minute meat but it had a  Les sit in though.  The 2nd night they did a bunch of Who teases because it was a couple days after John Entwistle passed away.  http://archive.org/details/moe.2002-06-29
I'll have to give the 7/11 show a listen.

That Boston show looks awesome, only thing about that DE show is that it hasn't ever been upgraded.  Still in SHN and I can't play it over my ETREE app.
