Oh! That! No, no, no, you're not ready to step into The Court of the Crimson King. At this stage in your training an album like that could turn you into an evil scientist.

So much for De-Regulation!! The Deregulation is only for the non-tax paying monopolies to lead to absolute fascism!! Not for us everyday Americans who only want to grow our own food and sell a little bit like we live in a capitalistic society...

Control for smilers can't be bought...

"Your answer is silly. What'd do you want the song to do? End world hunger?
It's a fucking Phish song, some of them are very complex compositions, some are not.

This one with its complex vocal arrangement falls right in between.
But that and a hook aren't enough so I'll let Trey know his songs have to start giving out handys." RJ

this is potentially scary stuff that got tagged onto some necessary food safety issues. I did a bit of googling about this and fortunately, the Tester amendment was added to the bill which will exclude small farmers from complying with a lot of the BS bureaucracy and requirements of this bill. The bottom line is that Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser are happy with the amendment. If they're happy, then so am I.
regardless, big corporations and their $ have too much power in this country. Unfortunately, that's an old story.

but keep what's important, and know who's your friend"

There have been a lot of government regulations on local farming. Many corporations dont want to waste subsidizes with local organic farming that is not going to produce the amount of meat or crops that industrial farming would. There's a company that has literally bought the rights of a soybean and if any local farmers try to alter a soybean seed in their crops, the company sends out all these private investigators to shut down the farm (mostly in the midwest, obviously not with some personal garden). It's scary stuff where you cant even grow a crop your own way, to just sell to your local community. Companies wont waste time if your not pumpin out the most crops or meat possible.

Got sent a link to this today - we stop for gas in this town whenever we go to my parents' house.  I'm not into giving this guy more play than he deserves, but you've got to know what's out there I spose.

QuoteStrip club owner posts "No Negroes Allowed" sign

ABBOTSFORD, Wisconsin - A sign excluding black people from a future Abbotsford, Wisconsin business is enraging some people in the small town.

It's a sign generations of people may have never seen, yet Mark Prior says it's his right to discriminate.

"If I've got a problem with you it's going to be on the front of my store," says Mark Prior.

Prior posted his 'No Negros Allowed' sign after he says he had some problems with black people in the past and needed to make a policy against them.

Federal and State law says if the business is open to the public, prohibiting people based on race is illegal. If the man's proposed gentlemen's club was going to be a private club, then an African American historian says he could discriminate.

Legalities aside, his is a sign that many say is appalling.

"I'm going to stick to my guns because I think I have the right as a business owner to reject service to anyone. It's not all the black people there are just a few bad ones," Prior says of his problems in the past.

Prior wants to open a gentlemen's club in a building next to the Abbotsford city hall and library. He says he moved his sign inside after someone with the city asked him to remove it.

"Our mistake is sometimes we look for logic in something that is just plain stupid," says Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton, an African American historian at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Ducksworth-Lawton says she feels Prior is out to get attention.

She says the second he opens his business, he'll be in violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
