what are your thoughts of a possible phish reunion in 2009??? will trey have his crap together??? and will the band have a new album to release ahead of the tour??? and do you think we'll hear some of the prehiatus phish or will they suck???

thoughts?  who knows...Trey may or may not have his crap together depends on if he signs a deal w/ Depends undergarments.  They may release a new album ahead of tour but mostly likely not unless it ends up like Round Room?  I think we'll hear a combination of all three eras, pre-post and v 3.0, that is if they return...

as a reply to my own post...just think that a letter from page really shows an interest of the bands return...trey has come through some changes and i think he's a bit on track with staying clean...mike is busy right now with his new release , but think they're all edgy to play together again...i'm hoping for the best!! more energy from a happier band to be back on stage together again and feeling their owts from reconciliation...Page also hints towards doing some work together in the barn, so i think something new is on the horizon...

To your point axilla1, if you scan around the board, you'll see everyone's pretty convinced about a reunion going down.  It's just unclear as to when.  For me, as soon as I realized Trey wants to get back together (how's "now all we need is a drummer and a keyboard player"), I figure it's gonna happen.  But I'm all for patience in this endeavor, no need to rush it.

I thought it was merely a question of end of this year vs sometime next...

The other thing I thought was that it would be a good idea to avoid the "big" first show back deal (a la 12/31/02). 

And of course, the Crowes are gonna be keeping CK busy for a while

nope!! no nye this time...halloween in '09 is my guess....but just a guess...Mike's tour ends in september...he might tour a little bit in the fall...then hollidays with some trey shows...then they'll hit the barn around the end of january to fiddle around abit...work on some new material and they'll be ready to jam by halloween!!!! in Vegas!!!!
