The last 3 songs of first set were lots of fun; second set never got off the ground, but they killed Fluffhead and Loving Cup. Workmanlike warmup show.

well i must say....atlantic city boardwalk is one hell of a setting for a phish show/crowd

just got back from the show after chillin with grupp and wtu in the hotel before they and another crowd went strip club hoppin and i'm stuck at the hotel with the g/f  :-P

show was solid, the light up or leave me alone blew the raleigh version way the fuck out of the park
cities>46 days was great, especially the ambient jam for the last couple mins of cities

prince caspian flowed better than a lot of other iterations so far imo

sand was perhaps my highlight

my first axilla and carini, both were very solid though the jam/form of carini was pretty cool and stood out

fluffhead sounded rocky during the composed parts but fucking PEAKED near the end

that's what's rambling through myhead before i look back at the setlist

please entertain me, hotel room is too low energy  :-P

was the best thing I heard from the night... mellow versions of both (not dark at all)... but tasty for sure. I actually thought the segue worked well... cool jam they worked out of Sand when it almost seemed to have petered out around the 10 min mark... picked back up and worked into Carini... which again didn't get dark but had a really nice groove to it.

Pretty much. Flubs only bothered me during Rift; Trey focused and  managed to pull off the second half, mostly.

Besides what's already been mentioned in this thread, I'd like to point out a couple other highlights. First, the Corrina was beautiful. One of my problems with 3.0 trey has been his mangling of this type of solo. Here he was nearly perfect. Probably the most tasteful trey solo I've seen in years.

Second, the Slave was freakin solid. Slaves and Hoods have come a long way this fall, imo.

Good times last night.

Cities was the best song played in the first set - the segue into Cities was not brilliant but inspired, during Cities CK5 utilized some extra lighting in the ceiling - very cool.

The venue is great, as wide open as any show with reserved seating as I've ever seen - no ticket checks onto the floor, and nobody checking tickets into the different sections.  I was able to watch form Fish-side center court for the first set and see the second set from sweet spot beside CK5 which was busy but not packed.

The Sand went some pretty cool places, and then the post-Carini jam touched on those places again for a minute or two.

Piper > Theme > Golgi > Slave > Fluffhead was nicely executed.

Loving Cup was a nice little throwback to Festival 8 last year.

The shakedown scene on the Boardwalk after the show was out of control.

Last nights show was better than some of the fall shows I've seen so far - and worse than others.

There were really good moments, and meh moments.

Post show was wild. Really wild. Tonight is gonna be crazier...

This is a bad town for me to be in. Way too much trouble to get into.

This show is getting no love??  I likey.  I have been too lazy to DL 10/30 and 10/31 this week so I have had 10/29 to listen to while at my desk.

It gets overshadowed by the others, but it is a good sounding show.  PYITE is kind of weak, but I must say I like what I hear.

really enjoyed it. thought the atmosphere was awesome being on the boardwalk and partying all nite and all. really thought the inside was something out there, really cool arches and old school feel. coolest was when theyd put the lights on the ceiling.

as far as the show,, Light up was real good, Moma>Cities was awesome, slave fluffhead was a big highlight. along with corinna. liked the sand...just wish they woulda kept going like camden 09, carini interupted it a lil but ill take it..

all around a real fun show for those who were there

really enjoyed it. thought the atmosphere was awesome being on the boardwalk and partying all nite and all. really thought the inside was something out there, really cool arches and old school feel. coolest was when theyd put the lights on the ceiling.

as far as the show,, Light up was real good, Moma>Cities was awesome, slave fluffhead was a big highlight. along with corinna. liked the sand...just wish they woulda kept going like camden 09, carini interupted it a lil but ill take it..

all around a real fun show for those who were there

Looking back, I'd say this is one of the weaker fall shows.

But not as weak as Providence.

lol, you love to hate on that one  :hereitisyousentimentalbastard

Probably true.  Providence was def my biggest disappointment of the tour coming from Utica...
I feel similarly let down with this one too coming from Manchester.  Both feel like steps back, with Utica being a much bigger one.  I was REALLY let down by Prov. This one I guess I was ready for it to be weak. :-)

And the atmosphere WAS better on the 29th, but compared to the 30th and 31st, it too was weak.

I thought the Corrina was really something. Felt like the whole place got dead silent for Page/Trey's solo. Hadn't heard a crowd so zoned in since the Jones Beach 09 Hood!

The Slave really did it for me as well.

PYITE was pretty awful though.

The Caspian is just horrible!! Horrible placement and even more horribly played, and hate the way Trey horse forced the Carini!! But there is still a lotta win in this show... The Corrina is just beautiful...

Had an awesome vibe going for myself at this show!! Really enjoyed this show...

Not even the slightest mention of this 46 Days to close out the first set... Trey is bursting with peakage in this version!! very solid version minus any kind of type II jamming...

I should note a funny thing that happened during this show...

WTU and I were chilling during Sand, and at one point during the "jam" (whatever you want to call it ), Trey plays this descending lick that vaguely (and I do mean very vaaaaaguely) sounded like the ending section of the Camden 09 Sand. It was barely there, I was sure nobody noticed it - obviously, only the nerdiest of phish fans would notice such a thing.

But I look over at WTU, and he looks at me, and we both yell "CAMDEN SAND!" to each other and high five and then laugh hysterically.

I'm pretty sure we got some strange looks.

It was a hilariously geeky and gumbo-esque moment (no hate, gumbo ), but we both thought it was hilarious.

If you listen back to this version, you may hear what I'm talking about...but you'd have to listen very closely...

:wtu:

Check out the tweezer from Philly last year (11/25 I think). Major Camden sand jam in there.

I have to admit, the question and answer portion of this Fluffhead between Page and Trey is pretty sweet. Page blows him out of the water. But Trey makes up for it at the end.
