All 100+ events are cancelled over here as of today until March 31. Four live shows and two theater visits not happening for me, with just confirned rescheduled date so far. This sucks.

It was some of the worst sound I have ever heard in my life. Atrocious. The PA system was really small for the venue so they had to crank it and it fell apart. Any guitar that started to peak would completely distort and fall apart, becoming painful. The cymbals and high hats were mic'd from above to high, so I could hear them from the stage but not out of the PA (I was 4 rows back - side back of stage - near rear facing stack). I couldn't hear Derek until the second last song of the first set. Sound did marginally improve for second set but still way too distorted.
Ha! We start this thread to keep the virus talk out of the music threads, and now we are discussing music in the virus thread.
We have gone to single point entry/exit here at the hospital, screened to ER proper, Decon room if actual exposure occurred (not just some tangential nonsense, there is so much of this right now) and needing to be seen, or back out into the parking lot to go home. My ER is stoooooooooooooooooooopid busy.

I went to Tool last night, 12,000 people. Just say fuck it and go. Die with your boots on. Of course, after the Tool show, they closed the arena for a month so, maybe I will die. Ugh. Show was sick though.

I caught them in Indy on this tour. They have put together another fantastic stage show. Was not disapointed in the least. Thise guys can still ROCK that hard at 60!

I'm at a clinic right now getting a flu test. I guess I can rule in/out influenzas A/B. We won't have a coronavirus testing facility until Monday.

Well, my hotel has dropped the Administrative half of the hotel to 4 day work weeks for the time being to save money. It's fine with me as I have plenty of PTO to use for the missed days, but I really feel for our Front Desk, Banquets and Housekeeping staff as their hours are just gone.
I have a three day weekend, which I really need right now. Sliver linings and whatnot.

Yeah, I turned it down after he went over everything with me. The possible side effects sound way worse than what I have now. And since he didn't really try to push it I figured it wasn't that big a deal. I also have no insurance so that weighed in on my decision too.

Been busting ass in my new(ish) job getting infrastructure in place to expand WFH to everyone. I've a compromised immune system and I think I'm done going to the office. Kids are home for at least two weeks but this is not going to be over in two weeks. Shits gonna be fucked up fast.

People just don't get it. My youngest daughter works as a hostess at a restaurant on weekends. She worked Friday and Saturday and said most of the people that came in were elderly and gave their staff a really hard time because they didn't have any hand sanitizer for customers. Really?
We're in self isolation for the next 2 weeks. Wife and I working from home with the kids off school.
We grabbed some supplies on the weekend but other than that, I've been hunkered down.
Massachusetts Shutting down restaurants and bars except for take out. Schools closed for at least three weeks. My oldest is home from UVM and we are working on getting my youngest back from California. A little unnerving having her so far away during this chaos. We hosted a Chinese exchange student a few years ago and he's now attending BU. We are trying to help coordinate his move back to China. His parents are freaking out about the US response to the virus and they want him home ASAP. Yes. All three states. Glad to see they are working as a region to coordinate. My prediction is essential services only by end of week if not sooner, plus states will enact curfews for non-essential traffic; shipping will go on.
EDIT: NJ just enacted a statewide travel curfew for non-essential traffic. NY/NJ/CT looking to add PA, VT, MA to regional cooperative.
The hoarding of certain food products and essential supplies is a big problem. I wonder what can be done. It's like a stand off where nobody wants to be the first person to lower his gun. You can enforce maximum of x per customer, but then people just bring family members and have them check out separately. Or drive around town and hit every store. It seems like little can realistically be done.

They are running normal hours for now. Most have a new policy where you cant touch or smell any sample jars just look through the glass counter. Also, a lot are using those restaurant pagers at check in and have to wait outside or in your car and then they buzz you when they are ready for you.

I manage the Accounting Department of a large downtown convention hotel. With all conventions cancelled, our occupancy has plummeted. We have 575 rooms in our hotel and only 20 rooms were occupied all weekend. And that's all three nights, so really 6 rooms occupied for three nights and two rooms occupied for one night.

I can share a similar sentiment. My Mom is 72, has underlying health issues, obviously been trying to keep her out of harms way ie. social distancing etc. My wife read elsewhere the baby boomers demographic are especially struggling w/ grasping how dangerous things are presently. As per Minnesota state executive order 20-04, we were forced to close the restaurant for the next 10 days. I have been really shocked at just how busy we have been leading up to this.
One of our "amenities" is a communal bowl of red m&ms. We removed that bowl last Tuesday as the news continued to deteriorate. Monday we had a guest complain loudly that she couldn't believe we didn't have them out and available!
Being located 2.5 hours north of the twin cities, we have been lucky to have no confirmed cases here, but I fear that many of the city folks are coming up the shore to hunker down at their cabins and are just dropping that shit everywhere.
We are a small restaurant with a very lean business in the winter and a huge volume of business in the summer. This is going to really test our ability to recover from said lean winter sales. The owner has been here for 21 years and is involved daily in operations. Yesterday we took all of the perishable products and made crates of food that we then distributed to all the staff. Each was about $100 worth of vegetables, herbs and dairy.
All staff are also eligible for immediate unemployment until we are allowed to open again. It will be hard for a while for everyone.

I was happy that she asked my advice on whether they should stay in FL or come back to NJ like they normally do from April-October. I told her to stay in FL as long as possible so they would not be tempted to see my siblings or any of the now counting 9 grandchildren that live within 30 minutes of their place in NJ. As many of you know, kids are just gross little petri dishes of snot and disease...

I am eligible for $500/week with unemployment and my boss is going to pay my health insurance throughout our closure. Our mortgage is $850/month and our total utilities are about $250, so I will be just fine, but I am worried that there will be increased looting/burglaries as this draws on. We have already had one break in, and that shit takes a while to get over mentally.

In a strange turn of events, I'm somehow in charge of the hotel today. Thankfully only for a few hours though. We have our F&B Director, who was furloughed, coming in to be acting GM on days like this, but he won't be there until noon. So I am 'Acting GM' for the first five hours today. Imma need a beer and a buzz after work today.

I think that's the case most places. And by most places, I mean I live in Massachusetts where closing the "packies" would lead to rioting and the hospitals being filled with patients that have the DTs.

And I fully agree with Jeff. I just got back from the grocery store and I am a nervous wreck. I've never shopped in a face mask (painters mask), and vinyl gloves before. Stuff that needed refrigerated was brought in, sanitized and put away. everything else is still in the trunk of my car in our garage to decontaminate.
Also, since I was out I filled my gas tank for $15! $1.49 a gallon.

I feel that tho. I have been going to work everyday, and finally cracked today. Starting getting pissed at people coming in to do far from essential crap. Lady came in with about a one month old strapped to her chest and I gave up after that.

Like others have expressed, it is super sketch not knowing what this virus looks like except the aftermath of transmission. I had to go to the post office today wearing a mask and plastic gloves. The lobby is incredible small w/ barely any ventilation. The workers are protected however my paranoia are the what ifs, did someone sneeze before I arrived, did I just walk through covid spray? I've been washing my hands, making sure our frequently touched areas are sanitized, door knobs and levers disinfected daily, sometimes twice a day. Its like living in a radioactive fallout area. Try not to touch anything!
I lean into statistics for comfort also. Currently in Maine we have 432 cases/1.3million population = .00033% A very small number that will undoubtedly increase.

I've been deemed essential as well. Until they decide to do away with the permitting process altogether, you need archaeologists for big public works projects involving public money. As a department we've done pretty well keeping ourselves out of the fray through delay and slipping under the radar. That a lot of the company's clients are oil and gas companies in North Dakota has helped (me stay inside) too with the price of oil.
But a water pipeline project near the Canadian border is glowing red-hot and I depart for the field next week. Montana has been in lockdown for the last couple of weeks, and although we're not as hard hit as some other areas, the check is in the mail. The fact that we're not as hard hit actually scares me the most; we're on the rise of the crest.
Most of the fear is psychological, but the other side of being homebound is not being able to go back to a controlled environment every night. Staying in hotels, eating out all the time. Not going back to comfort every night but spending a solid week exposed. That's whats fucking with my mind right now.
At least I've got the solace that the actual work is safe as hell. Nothing safer than wandering around on the prairie alone right now.

Luckily, so far, Oregon has avoided becoming a hot spot and our biggest concern currently is staving off cabin fever and keeping the kids on task with virtual/remote learning. Such a trip. Can't imagine being in NY where it's exploding. I've been hitting grocery store once a week and along with a food drop where I just roll up and grab bulk items. Really don't see this changing any time soon and the ramifications are just gonna keep getting deeper. Considering myself fortunate I still have a job (for now) and a roof over my head, and I guess, above all that my family has remained healthy. I don't know anyone here who has gotten it, but my cousin in NYC who is NYPD caught it along with the 10 other patrolmen he shares an office with. Scary shit. They rolled out Covid leave hours that were only viable before a Covid diagnosis. After diagnosis, you're on your own with the leave you have. What a tone deaf policy that will lead to people without adequate leave hours to delay diagnosis.
I feel silly even grovelling about these sorts of things while the policy at my wife's job is "Fuck ya, hope it's alright and you've gotta work tomorrow".

The wife and I are both 100% unemployed for the foreseeable future. I have applied for unemployment. What I will get from the government will cover our monthly healthcare bill... nothing left for the mortgage and other bills, much less food, etc.
That said, we are fine. We have an emergency fund in place precisely for this moment. We had a plan for Erin to be out of work for 6 months anyway. But it's like sitting at a losing craps table and going back to the ATM every 30 minutes or so and never winning a single roll for hours and hours. It's gonna be a painful ride.
My work re-tooled 2 weeks ago....we are deemed an essential business as we supply products for logistics, transportation, technology, and medical....
We re-tooled the shop to begin making power and data cables for ventilators. Sorely in desperate need here in NY....

I've been working from home but implementing a Virtual Care platform for our physicians, remotely doing a lot of Town Hall seminars for staff and helping our researchers collaborate on-line. As we're a paediatric hospital we haven't had a lot of patients yet, but we're prepping to take on adults and if that happens I'll probably get called into action.
It's really challenging working from home and seeing all my colleagues and friends in the hospital over video wearing gloves and masks.
Against my better judgement we did a "public" town hall with no passwords or registration, about 20 minutes in a bunch of kids came on and "Zoom Bombed" our Q&A. If anyone wants some good ASCII art of genitalia, let me know.

Home Construction is deemed essential in Massachusetts. Unsure of whether or not My business fit into this categor, I sent an email to my state senator and they deemed us essential. If people are stuck at home they are going to want their pools open, repaired, installed. Surprisingly we've only had a few homeowners cancel new pool installs. Our supply chains will remain open because they supply most of the country's chlorine. We work in small teams and rarely interact with the general public. Am I really essential? Probably not. But I need to keep this business afloat. I should add Ive been back to work for a week and been to a dozen or so houses. Most homeowners greet us from the back porch or at great distance. The retiree homeowners come running out wanting to your hand and shadow you around the yard. I spend half the time backing away as they move in to chat. Weird times

I feel that tho. I have been going to work everyday, and finally cracked today. Starting getting pissed at people coming in to do far from essential crap. Lady came in with about a one month old strapped to her chest and I gave up after that.
I'm right there with you. Every day on my way to work I'm honestly scared, and I'd much rather stay home. But I want to do right by my employees who need the money. My store is still open, we've shortened our hours and are now closed on the weekends. I'm running a bare bones crew, just me and one tech. And we sent the other 2 people who can't afford to be out of a job to run the other store.
It's crazy, so many people bringing in their kids to get shit fixed that, in my mind, are not essential repairs. You can live with a crack in your screen for a while. I do understand the people coming in with absolutely destroyed devices (no display, no power etc), and I also understand people working from home needing their work computer fixed. And, as a stretch, I get it if you want your PS4 fixed to keep the kids occupied. But shit outside of that is needless.
To give yall some insight, during our steady season, my store does anywhere from $2000-3000 a day. But right now is technically our slow season, we'll do $750-1500 usually. But since corona happened we've been getting steady super high numbers, Thursday we hit the highest sales since the new year at $3600. FUCKING STAY HOME PEOPLE!!!! Not only am I worried about the public. But I'm worried about my people more than anything. I'd hate to see one of these kids get sick when some asshole who's sick decides their cracked screen is worth risking other people's lives.
But your fucking iPhone with a small cosmetic issue can wait. I hate the social media side of technology and how addicted we are to it. Cause honestly that's what drives these types of people more often than not.

Weird times indeed. Your comment got me thinking about how social dynamics are changing for my line of work.
Most of the project we're tasked with surveying (50+ miles in all) is on private land. The money for the project comes from Federal dollars, which is what initiated our survey. But the day to day walking will be on private land. Rural land, in BFE.
The usual "polite" way of operating on private land in Montana is to go to the ranch house and explain yourself before wandering around. This is somewhat tenuous in the best of situations because govt., intellectuals, and outsiders. I've cultivated some good demeanor over the years, which means guns and mention of guns usually doesn't happen.
But now the outsider/intellectual/govt. thing is tinged with Covid. Just knocking on the ranch door could be seen as an outright attack from "undesirables" and not doing it breaks all the social rules.
Ugh.
ETA: Because of our own company's rules on social distancing, all four of us will be working alone and coordinating, so group dynamics, for better or worse, won't be in play. Who ever encounters as land owner will speak for themselves.

I work at one of the Amazon warehouses here in Baltimore. Yesterday, we finally had confirmation of an employee who has tested positive for the virus. The newer facility had one last week. We are essential, as we are the supply chain for a lot of people, especially those who've been quarantined fully or partially. My facility has been staggering shift start, break, and end times by 15 min. They gave us a $2/hr raise, and all overtime hours are paid at double time. They are telling anyone who is sick to stay home, and not just for COVID 19 symptoms. If any of us think we may have been exposed, and need to self-quarantine for two weeks, they will pay us for those two weeks. We can clock in & out by using an app on our phone. Extra makeshift hand sanitizer & hand washing stations have been built in the areas that have more foot traffic, and the cleaning staff has kicked it up in the important areas, and hired more staff to help with that. I feel good about going to work, and doing my part. I do have some concerns, as I handle a good amount of cardboard & plastic throughout my day. I also have Ulcerative Colitis, so my immune system is somewhat compromised. Luckily, Maryland has had relatively low numbers. Gov Hogan has been on top of the issue, and has been praised for one of the better state responses. Contrary to some of the news stories about other Amazons around the US, the facility I work for has reacted in a timely manner, and seems to be putting forth a good amount of effort to keep the work environment as safe as possible, considering. Finally it seems like people local to me are starting to wrap their heads around the gravity of the situation. More and more we are having people signing up for curbside pickup/dropoff and the remote repair options(where we come to you, fix your phone in our van). It's just nice seeing people wiping off their devices before bringing them in, wearing masks and gloves when in the store, and keeping up the social distancing. A lot of people have been very generous this week, offering gratuity for the tech who worked on the device, offering masks/gloves and other forms of protection for us.
I hope everyone on here is doing their best even when they going into the grocery stores etc. Keep in mind the people who work there and how you can keep them at ease by doing what you can to stay safe.
I live a half mile from a major hospital in Fairfield county. Tonight I've watched at least three helicopters land and take off from the roof, supposedly they are military flights dropping off personnel and supplies. Too dark to see what the helicopters were but they weren't the usual life-flight ones. Shook the house coming and going. Crazy times.

Here in Indiana they want you to upload your last paystub from your employer, so I kind of got screwed by working the first two days of a two week pay period. I'll get the paystub for the 2 day check on Wednesday, I'll get the check on Friday.
Is that $4500 including the extra $600 that the federal stimulus package offered? In Indiana the highest wage UI will pay out is $360 a week, before taxes. I make a pretty good living and I didn't even qualify for the full $360, I'll be getting $346 a week, before the Federal bump. If the $600 is a flat fee across the board, then I'll get $946 a week. Making it $3,784 a month, pre-tax.
Yes that is including the $600/week. My benefits before that were $525/ week, which is the cap here in MN. And yes that's all pretax. The state is withholding my normal ui benefits, but the stimulus $600 is all pretax.
I'm on the dole. Have yet to receive my first payment. Should come this week. I get just shy of $300 per week from TX. They should be adding the $600 at some point (and paying it with a make-up check whenever that happens). The online system is pretty overwhelmed right now, though. My payment status page shows that I don't have a pending payment, but when I go to request payment it says I've already requested it and cannot request again. Fucking sweet! We'll see.
I heard the first round of stimulus checks (deposits) went out last Friday. My friend in NYC and a friend in Baltimore got it.

I've cut my own hair for YEARS now. I bought a pair of Whal clippers and use a number 6 guard on top and a number 5 on the sides. I then fade it up using the number 4 guard on the lower half of the sides. After that I touch up the edges without using a guard. I do have Dagny check the back to make sure I got it straight, if not she fixes it.
When I first started our plan was to have Dagny cut it but I took for granted the fact that I had been in a barber chair all my life and knew how to shave it (like going front to back on top and bottom to top on the sides). She didn't know those things and was also afraid of cutting my ear off, so I decided to start doing it myself.

My hospital facilities buddy stopped in to the office yesterday while I was there. From a distance, he proceeded to tell me how he's had to build 4 temporary morgues in the last two weeks (2 at his hospital and two at others), in addition to changing over any available non-essential space in the main hospital he is in charge of into beds. They've doubled the size of the ICU, and are holding steady over the last few days between 100-110 covid cases (including new and those released). 25 deaths so far. Shit's crazy.

My son completed his 5th week of online home school last week, he's on a well deserved vacation this week. So I just got the call asking me to go back to work. I'm happy as hell to get back to making money, but I'm scared to be getting out there again. Especially since I work at a hotel. At least I work in accounting and I have no contact with the guests, but I still interact with some of our front desk staff who are in direct contact with the guests.

I don't have access to our reservations system from home, but I've been checking my wok email once a week or so this month. We've had a lot of 0% occupancy nights and the highest I've seen is 0.02%. We have 575 rooms so that 0.02% would be 12-14 rooms occupied on our busiest night.

Aaannnd, I just got the call that I am not going back to work yet. Apparently they were bringing back 'essential' operations type members based on our management company getting part of the stimulus that just went through. They have decided to give the money back so it can be distributed to smaller businesses. So now I am back to furlough but at least I don't have to go out there just yet.
Plus I'm glad I get to stay home with Dagny. I'm a born hermit so staying home without interacting with people for a month has been fine for me, but she isn't built that way and if I was gone every day and she was home alone she would go crazy.

In related news, almost no one is kegging beer now and/or the distributors aren't ordering it since the bars are all closed, so my kegerator has been empty for over a week now with no replenishment in sight for a while. My recycling has since doubled and my daily workout consists of crushing aluminum cans in the garage.
Not for nothin' - there is a good chance we have to dump some beer ourselves. The shitty thing is, dumping it is actually really expensive for us. We aren't connect to a sewer system so all of our wastewater is collected and has to be trucked out.

If it's in kegs there just isn't a good way to sell it right now. Nobody is buying kegs. Nobody!
We are close to launching our canning operation, but that is for specific beers we plan to bring to market. The aging inventory is a lot rotating styles and many of those do not age well. Especially IPA's.

I am pretty sure there are drops happening all over. I wouldn't know about it unless Hicks didn't tip me off to it, and I think he had to find out on IG or PT from distributor source, not from Alchemist. I asked my buddy to give me a heads up next time and he told me "I just make it, I don't ship it." so he's not really a big help in that department. But I wouldn't be surprised if both of those cities don't get are have not already gotten drops. Today is the first day that my wife has gone into the office in 21/2 months. Her position as a Genealogical Research Librarian at the State Library will have no contact with the public, her library isn't letting people inside yet (being a State Library, it is more for research and you can't check-out books there). But the fact that her library sits on the north side of the Government Center and on the west side of the State House, where all of the protests are taking place has me worried for her safety more than I was when we just thought she was going back into the office.
I'm still furloughed for the foreseeable future, and it's strange being alone in the house after all this time without her here. On the plus side, I'll be spinning records all day long!

I actually got called back to work because Indianapolis is hosting Youth sport tournaments that were displaced from other cities. Kind of a scary thought since I'm guessing the parents bringing their kids here to play don't seem to understand the gravity of the situation.
Had to contact school and tell them we are un-enrolling our preschooler for the fall.
They spent huge amounts of time, $, and energy developing a comprehensive plan, with sanitizing, screening, distancing, the whole deal.

About 2 weeks later EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE I work with got sick. 33 cases of pneumonia, and the rest of us ALL had a BAD cough. I was coughing so hard I almost gave myself a hernia. I was down and out for about 2 weeks. Just walking 10 feet from my bed to the bathroom kicked my ass. All I did was sleep and cough. A bunch of us thought it was from the poor air quality in the shop fom all the suspended cutting oil from our Gridley machines and the CNC's.....but then we shut them down, and everyone STILL had the cough.
Just recently here in NY, the antibody tests were made widely available.....SO.....I went and got my ass tested.....as did 5 of my work buds.....we ALL came back +
From what I understand....we probably had the OG Wu-Flu...the far less virulent strain vs. the strain from Europe that overtook NYC....but still....it sucked. Still to this day, I find myself tiring easily and need to pace myself when doing chores around the house. We kinda dodged a bullet here where I am in NY....we were one of the first counties allowed to re-open because our numbers were VERY low thru the whole course of this crazy shit...BUT....upon talking to my primary care doc about it, I guess we had a LOT of respiratory visits back in Feb. in my area that were just classified as "viral infections" because no one tested positive for flu AND we didn't really know about the Wu-Flu at the time (plus we believed it hadn't got here yet)...and that is probably why our numbers stayed so low, everyone already had it when the shit really hit the fan.....and if you look at where I am located in NY, we are the damn hub of NY into the rest of upstate and New England.
This whole thing just fucking stinks to high heaven.

That's nuts. I think a lot of people had it earlier than anyone thought. I've heard similar stories about January and February illnesses with negative flu tests. Crazy!
I just want to say this... our brewery is small - maybe 8 employees - and two of our people have lost immediate family members to Covid-19. This is as real as a thing could be and we still have people claiming "it'll all go away on November 4th. It's just a ploy to defeat Donald." It's nucking futs!

almost to the minute, 24 hours after my shot, i felt a little crappy/achy and took a 2 hour nap (my arm was a bit sore).
good to go after that!
i hydrated so much for the 24 hours before, though; i think like 146 ounces of body armor and about 64 ounces of water. no caffeine (which wasn't terrible) and i took all my meds like normal.
as far as health concerns go: i have terrible cholesterol, a non-working thyroid (=immunocompromised), and potentially the beginnings of RA... i'm not the healthiest person on the planet but i didn't really have any issues.
my sister is a little less healthy with autoimmune-induced cirrhosis at 35 and my dad is a cancer survivor who is now 65.
dad hydrated and had Moderna, other than being tired and a sore arm after the second one, he was fine.
sister didn't hydrate the first time and she was miserable with Pfizer; second dose with hydration and she was hit a lot less with symptoms as the first shot.

That said, I got Pfizer, I am not in great shape, have RA and take wacky drugs for it and I was sick for a day on shot 2.
Althea who is young and in reasonable health got the JandJ shot and said the side effects were not pleasant but not nearly as bad as Covid.
I got the Moderna. No side effects aside from the sore arm in the first shot, I had less stamina than normal after the second shot, but that only lasted two days (I cut the grass two days after getting shot 2 and was exhausted by the time the front yard was done), but everything went back to normal after that.

i think this is probably the way we're all headed for big indoor shows this fall/winter. the music industry doesn't want to do this because it will decrease sales, but when faced with the possibility of another complete shutdown of big live shows, i think they'll take option 1.

I just found out that my Sister and Brother-in-law have caught the 'Vid. They are not vaccinated!?!?! To give some background, they have a son who has Ebstein's Anomaly. It's a heart defect that causes low Blood/Oxygen levels and dyspnea (difficulty breathing). The poor kid has had 7 heart surgeries in his short life so far to put new stints in his heart. Why the fuck is my sister not vaccinated having such an immunocompromised child!?!?! It really pisses me off that she has chosen to not get vaccinated and I'm sure it was all her Father (and his atrocious family) that have brainwashed her into not getting it. I personally didnt talk to anyone who wasnt vaxxed, so hopefully sick people are just staying home. I will say though.. it sure as hell didnt feel covid safe on tour. It was just.. regular old tour. Tons of sweaty wooks corralled together in small spaces. A mask here and there but mostly just a bunch of wooks that youd rather not be close to covid or no covid. Just like the good old days :sbw:

I finally tested positive yesterday after living vicariously for quite awhile.
While I know this is not the case for everyone, it's one of the milder colds I've ever experienced.
I had my annual physical yesterday and the doc gave me another booster. That's my second booster and fourth overall shot. All Moderna. Feeling sore today - mostly my arm and shoulder - but otherwise it's been the easiest post-vax day of the four.

In related news, my 97-year-old grandfather was in the hospital over the weekend (for something else) and while there popped for covid. Vaxxed and boosted, no symptoms, taking it easy at my parents' house right now. I know luck of the draw has been a factor this whole time but it's pretty amazing what a little shot in the arm can do. Why there are any vax holdouts at all among the most at-risk populations is totally beyond me.
