Finished listen to this show just now.  While it's sort of a flubtastic show in parts they catch fire in the second set.  Disregard any earlier comments that I made about this show.
"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese."          -Bobby Finstock

The 12-14-95 Halley's-->NICU may be one of my top 5 Phish Jams EVAR!

It is pretty cool.  I still like the Tweezer from Cincy a lot.

Decided to go to this one last minute... and had to head back to Cleveland directly following the show... so that was in my head all night.  Had a great time though!  Cobo Roof parking lot was party central, and a couple of friends were giving out "hetty vegan lentil curry", so I was able to eat something that day besides a few rice cakes and whiskey on the car ride up.  :)

Trey coming out with the blue jeans and sport coat let me know that fall tour was on.  AC/DC Bag was a great opener, and the energy was high out of the gate.  Foam was fantastic, if a bit rough at times.

Then came a huge valley for me, song after song where I was just thinking "meh", especially the Sample which won't leave me alone this year.  Kill Devil Falls turned out pretty great though.  I was pumped for my first It's Ice, but it was probably the flub of the night.  46 Days had a good jam, and the best lights of the night.  As someone already posted the video, Kuroda turned the lights on the giant white walls on each side of the stage, and it was.. great.  Bowie was a nice closer.  Set started and ended high, huge hole in the middle unfortunately.

I really liked the second set, Jim was nice, Disease was great, not a fan of Free... but whatever, it was a good version.  Taste and Bug was a decent combo.  And then, bam!  My first Mike's Groove of '09, it only took 6 shows, and it was well worth the wait.  Cavern was also a treat, and for me the show could have ended there.

I felt both Trey and Mike were really on fire this night, and I'm not sure if it was where I was standing, but Page was almost non-existent for me.

Highlight of my night was the Mike's Groove, hadn't seen a Hydrogen since '03... and that is just far too long.

I'm not sure if I followed this thread correctly, but what guys are saying is that Dave Thomas sold crack in inner-city DC in the mid-80's, right?
